Beykoz Grove in Istanbul: Walking Paths, Bosphorus Views, Transport and Visit Costs
Historic Beykoz Grove, also known as Abraham Paşa Grove, overlooks the Asian side of the Bosphorus between Beykoz and Paşabahçe. It combines wooded paths with a municipal place to stop for food. It is separate from the Khedive Palace grove in Çubuklu and the Beykoz Mecidiye Pavilion.A path in Beykoz Grove, image published in 2024.
Location and transport
Search for Beykoz Korusu in Beykoz and choose an entrance convenient for your destination. Buses serve the Beykoz area, and ferries may be an option depending on your starting point and timetable. Check services and the active stop before travelling. Map of the municipal facility in the grove identifies that facility, not every entrance.
Walking and Bosphorus views
Start on open tree-lined paths and choose a suitable place to rest or view the strait. Views vary with the route and trees. Do not assume all paths or facilities are open; follow signs and avoid closed areas and waterside edges.
A simple family plan
| Stage | Suggestion |
|---|---|
| Arrival | Choose your entrance and agree a meeting point and return route. |
| Walk | Begin with a short route and adjust for slopes and the group’s mobility. |
| Break | Check the municipal facility’s hours, menu and waiting time. |
| Return | Check the bus direction or ferry departure before leaving the grove. |
Food and budget
A municipal social facility operates in the grove; hours, seating and menus can change. Budget separately for transport, food and parking and ask for current prices before ordering. A current entry or parking tariff is not established here; avoid relying on old figures.
Accessibility and families
The grove is on a slope. Ask in advance which entrance, path and toilets suit a stroller or wheelchair. Bring water and comfortable shoes, and supervise children near roads, steps and water, particularly after rain.
Before you go
Check current park hours and the weather on the day; authorities may close groves temporarily in dangerous winds. Ask about current rules for food, picnics and vehicles and follow site signs.- Parks and Green Spaces in Istanbul for Families
