Yıldız Park in Istanbul: Nature, Transport, Facilities and Prices
Yıldız Park (Yıldız Parkı / Yıldız Korusu) is a green hillside in Beşiktaş, between Beşiktaş and Ortaköy near the Bosphorus. It suits a walk, photography or a family break, with historic pavilions and water features. Yıldız Palace is a separate attraction with its own visiting arrangements and ticket; do not assume palace admission is included in a park visit.

Location and transport
Search for Yıldız Parkı or Yıldız Korusu in Beşiktaş and choose your entrance before travelling: the park extends across different levels. Reach Beşiktaş by ferry or bus, then continue towards Çırağan Street and walk or take a taxi for the final part according to your arrival point. Check the service and stop on your travel day.
What to see
Explore tree-lined paths, water features and the historic Malta and Çadır pavilions. Take photographs at a comfortable pace and keep away from slippery water edges. Check pavilion operating status before planning a meal there.
A simple family route
| Stage | Suggestion |
| Start | Choose an entrance convenient for your arrival and a short shaded path. |
| Middle | Pause near the water features and see the pavilions from outside. |
| Finish | Stop at the cafeteria if open, then return through a suitable exit. |
Food and facilities
Istanbul Municipality lists Kır Kahvesi cafeteria inside the park, serving drinks and snacks. Check opening hours, menu and prices before travelling. Do not assume every pavilion is operating or offering restaurant service.
Prices: parking and the palace
National Palaces lists Yıldız Palace tickets at 900 TL for foreign visitors, 175 TL for domestic visitors and 60 TL for a discounted ticket, subject to the operator's eligibility rules. These are palace prices, not park admission charges; check the separate parking tariff with its operator. Palace prices were checked on 30 October 2026 and may change; verify current tariffs and eligibility before paying.
Slopes and accessibility
The park has uphill and downhill sections; some paths may be difficult with pushchairs or wheelchairs. Ask about an entrance and route suitable for your needs before visiting, and wear comfortable shoes, particularly after rain. Authorities may temporarily close green spaces during hazardous weather.
Combine it with another visit
Plan time in Beşiktaş or Ortaköy after the park. For Yıldız Palace, check hours, closures, ticket and entrance location; its reviewed page lists Wednesday as closed and holiday arrangements may differ. Do not assume a direct passage between the sites is available.
Before you leave
Bring water and comfortable shoes and agree on a meeting point and exit for a group. Check current park hours, weather and facilities, and bring a suitable payment method for optional services.- Parks and Green Spaces in Istanbul for Families
