Recep Tayyip Erdoğan Park in Esenyurt: Paths, Location and Planning a Visit
Recep Tayyip Erdoğan Park lies in Zafer, Esenyurt, on Istanbul’s European side. Its green spaces, paths and water features make it an option for a local outing. This is the Esenyurt park, distinct from parks with the same name in other Turkish cities.

Location and transport
The municipality places the park in Zafer Mahallesi on Doğan Araslı Bulvarı. Find the park on the map and select the entrance most useful for your trip. Check public transport routes and direction from your starting point and allow for traffic.
What to see
Paths and planted areas offer places to walk and pause. The photographs show a water channel and waterfall; water levels, operation and maintenance may differ on your visit. Supervise children near water and stay in areas open to visitors.
Facilities and time to read
The municipality reported Vatan Kitap Kafe and Millet Kıraathanesi inside the park in August 2026, and previously identified the Cemil Meriç Library there. Check directly whether each facility is open, its hours and conditions before making plans; services and prices may change.
A practical visit plan
| Stage | Suggestion |
|---|---|
| Before arrival | Check your entrance, transport, weather and the hours of facilities you want to use. |
| In the park | Follow open paths and take a break away from the water’s edge. |
| After the walk | Ask whether the book café or library is available if you plan to read. |
Fees and families
A current park admission fee or facility prices could not be verified; check the latest conditions before visiting and budget separately for transport, food and parking. Ask about routes suitable for strollers and wheelchairs and the toilets, and take care on wet ground.
Before you go
Check opening hours and any maintenance or temporary closure, and choose a meeting point and return route. Older photographs do not guarantee that the waterfall is operating now.- Parks and Green Spaces in Istanbul for Families
