Batı Park in Samsun: Waterfront, Amazon Village and Planning a Visit​

Batı Park is a green waterfront area in İlkadım, Samsun. The municipality lists Amazon Village within the park; check its access and conditions separately from the open area.

Location and transport​

The municipality lists the park in Kalkancı, İlkadım. Search for Batı Park on the map and choose the entrance and area you need. Check routes, directions and the return stop before travelling.

Waterfront walk​

Plan a walk through the green area and a safe waterfront rest. Follow open paths and barriers, especially in windy weather or near water.
The municipality describes a water channel, an artificial island, picnic areas and viewpoints as part of the park project. Choose an area suited to your group and check facilities on site rather than assuming every one is open.

Amazon Village and facilities​

Samsun Municipality lists Amazon Village and its island within Batı Park. Its displays represent women warriors associated with the Amazon legend; they do not establish the historical life of this site. Check opening, price and operating status before visiting. The cable car and sports facilities are separate activities whose operation and tickets require checking.
The cable car connects Batı Park with Amisos Hill. The municipality announced its reopening after modernisation in March 2025; check its actual operation, weather and fare on your visit, as that announcement does not guarantee continuous service.
