Athlete Licensing in Türkiye 2026: Individual and Club Registration and New Health Documents​

Joining training, obtaining an athlete licence and being accepted for a competition are separate steps. This guide explains registration, renewal and the health-document framework introduced on 11 August 2026, without assuming identical conditions for every federation or foreign applicant. ⁦⁩ Identify the transaction you need​

Ask the club or provincial youth and sports directorate which discipline and federation apply, and whether you need individual registration, Ferdi, or a club-linked licence, Kulüp. Recreational training and gym membership do not establish competitive registration. A licence does not guarantee team selection or acceptance by an event with additional conditions.

Seasonal validation is called Vize in this context; it concerns sporting renewal rather than a travel visa. Disclose any existing registration before opening another first-time application. Establish whether you are moving between clubs or converting the type of registration.

⁦⁩ Assemble documents for your actual circumstances​

Prepare identification, contact details and a recent photograph, then obtain the document list for the federation and transaction. Club-linked applications require evidence of the club relationship, while minors need parental or guardian consent through the accepted route. A similar-looking form from another discipline may not be appropriate.

Provincial examples differ in photograph numbers and delivery arrangements, so confirm the list with the office handling your file. Match your name, birth date and identity number across sporting and health records. If details differ, seek correction of the responsible record rather than creating another identity or distributing medical files in a public group.

⁦⁩ Distinguish a medical report from a health-status document​

The 11 August 2026 regulation changed how the required document is determined. An older page demanding a medical report from everyone should not be applied to every new request. The sport’s official risk group and the health system’s assessment determine the route; do not choose a group from your impression of how difficult the activity seems.

A medical report lasts three years unless the doctor requires an earlier review; a health-status document lasts one year. A health change can require a new document sooner. Reports issued before the regulation remain valid until their stated expiry. A valid health report does not automatically renew a sporting licence.

⁦⁩ Complete the health route and electronic application​

Start with the health assessment form through e-Devlet or the health information system. The Sporcu Sağlık Durum Belgesi service can be reached through e-Nabız where available to the account. A parent or guardian acts for a minor or person under guardianship. Supply accurate information and follow the outcome: a document or referral to an authorised health provider, rather than a promise of instant approval for everyone.

For an electronic individual licence, open the individual licensing service in Spor Bilgi Sistemi following the responsible authority’s guidance, such as Sakarya’s page. Follow the required fields for licence type, federation, province, district, details and documents, then submit for approval. Retain the reference and application status; saving entries or seeing a successful submission does not always mean final approval.

If the service is unavailable or the health document does not link, ask the licensing unit about the appropriate route before duplicating the application. Keep your e-Devlet password private. Ask which consent you complete through your own account and which action belongs to the club’s authorised officer.

⁦⁩ Foreign applicants and minors need a specific route​

Foreign applicants should present their actual identity and residence status to the directorate and federation. The general framework refers to actual lawful residence or a residence permit of at least one year, with further licensing, renewal and transfer details governed by federation instructions. Passport records, permission from a previous federation, translation or a club contract may be relevant. Do not generalise one discipline’s foreign-player quota or document requirements.

An important exception applies to holders of the identity documents covered by the regulation’s temporary or international protection provisions: federation instructions cannot impose residence-permit or home-country-permission conditions on them. Foreign applicants should not all be treated as tourists, nor promised automatic acceptance. Ask the responsible authority to identify the procedure using the document you actually hold.

For a minor, establish who can give the required consent and how it is recorded; a coach’s or school’s agreement does not replace parental consent. For disabled applicants obtaining their first licence in the discipline, the health regulation requires an existing valid disability medical-board report. Football has TFF-specific rules, so another federation’s procedure should not automatically be transferred to it.

⁦⁩ Separate administrative fees from sporting costs​

Request an itemised explanation distinguishing licensing, renewal, conversion and transfer from club membership, coaching, insurance, equipment and competition fees. No single verified tariff covers all those items. A free administrative transaction in one federation does not make the entire sporting season free.

Before paying, match recipient, purpose and year with the authority’s instructions, and retain the receipt. If a club quotes a package, ask what it includes and what can be refunded if an application fails or plans change. Payment does not establish age eligibility, ability or competition acceptance.

⁦⁩ Check approval before the first competition​

Check discipline, club, season and validation status, then the health document, date and any outstanding request. Read the particular competition announcement for category, roster, entry deadline and additional documents. Correct licensing provides an administrative basis; event acceptance remains a separate requirement.

For a rejected or suspended application, request the reason, missing document, responsible authority and any completion or objection deadline. Keep the application and correspondence rather than submitting conflicting files to different offices. Annual validation does not automatically change your club or register a transfer.
