This reference thread explains how the Site News section is used and which announcements members can expect to find here.

What is published in Site News?​

This section is reserved for official announcements from the TurkiyeAtlas team, including:

- Forum updates and new sections.
- Changes to general rules and policies.
- Scheduled maintenance and any server outages.
- Member competitions, events, or special campaigns.
- Important notices that affect how you use the forum.

This section is not intended for questions or general inquiries.
Please post questions in the appropriate section or in Technical Support.

How can I keep up with site news?​

We recommend that members:

1. Use the Watch feature for this section or its pinned threads.
2. Check the latest Site News thread before asking about a fault or a change to the forum.
3. Read notices with titles such as:
- “Important Notice”.
- “New Update”.
- “Changes to the Rules”.
before taking any related action on the forum.

Types of announcements you may see​

- New features: a short explanation, with screenshots where helpful.
- Maintenance notices: the expected start and finish times.
- Rule updates: what has changed, why, and when the changes take effect.
- Competitions and events: entry requirements, prizes, and event dates.
