Location
Kırşehir lies in Central Anatolia, north-west of Cappadocia's heartland. A visit combines Seljuk architecture, craft heritage and folk music, while Kaman adds archaeology and a Japanese garden. Give Kırşehir itself a day and Kaman and its surroundings another.2.
Cacabey Madrasa: The City's Landmark
Cacabey Medresesi dates from 1272 and stands in central Kırşehir. Associated with the teaching of mathematics, science and astronomy, it is used as a mosque today. Its carved stone portal and tower with turquoise details reward a photography stop. Observe prayer times when entering. Begin here before continuing to the other central landmarks.

Ahi Evran and the Heritage of Craftspeople
Ahi Evran is associated with the Ahilik organisation, which brought craftspeople and traders together around skilled work, mutual support and professional ethics. His lodge site contains his tomb and a historic religious building that developed through several phases. It explains a central part of Kırşehir's identity as an influential centre for craftspeople, particularly leatherworkers. The site has been on the UNESCO World Heritage Tentative List since 2014, distinct from full World Heritage inscription.

Kaman Kalehöyük and the Japanese Garden
Kaman Kalehöyük Archaeology Museum is in Çağırkan, in Kaman district. Its design evokes an archaeological mound, while its displays present finds from Kalehöyük, Büklükale and Yassıhöyük, explaining excavation methods and successive civilisations.

The neighbouring Mikasanomiya Japanese Garden combines well with the collections in one visit. Allow dedicated time for the area and include the transfer in your schedule.
