Maintenance and track renewal on T3 Kadıköy–Moda begin on Monday 19 October 2026. In its notice published on 13 October, Metro İstanbul announces the replacement transport arrangements: İETT electric vehicles will operate during the works. Update your arrival plan before a visit to Moda.
| Name on the signs | Status during the works |
|---|---|
| Kilise | Stop not served |
| Moda İlkokulu | Stop not served |
| Moda | Stop not served |
Keep the Turkish names when asking about alternatives. Check the best alighting point for your actual address rather than relying on the neighbourhood name alone.
Official diversion diagram from Metro İstanbul, showing the route and unserved stops; this is not a photograph of replacement vehicles in operation.
Vehicles will run between the line's start and end points. Between Bahariye and Rızapaşa, the diversion follows Sakızgülü Sokak, then Moda Caddesi after Bahariye to reach Rızapaşa. Confirm where to board locally: using a diverted street does not establish a stop at every point along it.
The operator says the renewed line will return in the new year, without giving an exact reopening date. The notice does not specify the replacement fare or service frequency. Check both before boarding, and avoid planning a precise connection around an assumed fixed interval.
Check the operator's notice on your travel day, save your destination address and identify the return boarding point. Allow time for walking and waiting, especially with luggage or children. Wheelchair and pushchair users should ask about boarding access and a suitable alighting point; the notice does not describe each vehicle's accessibility equipment. These are planning recommendations, not additional announced operating details.
