Trabzonspor stood seventh after six rounds, with ten points and a three-point gap to the leaders. The highlight was a 4–0 victory over Galatasaray, following the September appointment of German coach Thomas Reis.
With Mohamed Salah and a range of attacking options, the team have grounds for ambition. Their opening results, however, show a marked difference between performances at home and away.

Trabzonspor collected nine points at home and just one away. Closing that gap is an obvious priority if they are to remain within reach of the leading teams.
Goalkeepers: André Onana and Ahmet Doğan Yıldırım.
Defenders: Stefan Savić, Samet Akaydin, Arseniy Batagov, Cenk Özkacar, Chibuike Nwaiwu, Wagner Pina and Sidny Lopes Cabral.
Midfielders: Fabinho, Batista Mendy, Okay Yokuşlu, Ruslan Malinovskyi, Benjamin Bouchouari, Ozan Tufan and Ernest Muçi.
Forwards and wide players: Mohamed Salah, Paul Onuachu, Franculino Dju, Noah Saviolo and Aral Şimşir.
The squad gives the coach several options, while the starting line-up depends on the opposition and players’ readiness.
Mohamed Salah scored seven league goals, accounting for more than half of the team’s 13. Paul Onuachu and Noah Saviolo followed with two each, while Ernest Muçi and Franculino scored one apiece.
These figures underline Salah’s decisive contribution, as well as the importance of increasing the output of other players, particularly when opponents focus on containing him.
Assessing the leading players’ roles:
• Salah and the wide players: Creating space to receive the ball and move towards goal, supported by the movement of the players around them.
• Onuachu and Franculino: Different centre-forward options can help vary the team’s approach to reaching the penalty area.
• Midfielders: Sharing responsibility for build-up play, defensive cover and chance creation can improve the balance when the full-backs advance.
This is an assessment of the squad’s options, rather than a statement of a fixed coaching system.
