Nezahat Gökyiğit Botanic Garden in Istanbul: Entrance, Hours and Visitor Rules
Nezahat Gökyiğit Botanic Garden in Ataşehir combines plant collections and learning spaces on Istanbul’s Asian side. It is a managed botanical garden with visitor rules, distinct from Atatürk Arboretum in Sarıyer.

Location and entrance
Use the Ataşehir entrance in Atatürk Mahallesi near Rıfat Danışman Sokak. Ataşehir entrance on the map. The central-island gate on the motorway does not admit visitors. The operator also announced a temporary closure of the Ümraniye entrance: check the latest notice before travelling.
Hours and admission
The operator’s visitor page on 30 October 2026 states that admission is free and gives the seasonal schedule below, with last entry one hour before closing. What to see
Follow open paths and interpretation signs to explore seasonal plant collections. The operator permits sitting on grass without spreading a picnic blanket; avoid planted or restricted areas. Arboretum Island was announced temporarily closed for infrastructure work: check whether it has reopened.

Rules for families
Supervise children and do not touch fenced plants or collect flowers and seeds; some plants are poisonous. Do not feed animals, enter ponds, cycle, play ball or light fires in the garden. Pets are not admitted except guide dogs.
Food, transport and costs
The visitor page says food and drinks are not sold in the garden. Plan meals outside and follow rules on food. The operator lists parking at the Ataşehir entrance; confirm availability and charges and allow separately for transport.
Before you go
Choose a route and time suitable for your family, and bring water and comfortable shoes after checking the rules. Ask about wheelchair and pushchair access, check weather and gate notices and plan the return journey.
