Historic Balaban Bey Mosque in Kiğı.
Kiğı and Adaklı introduce a different side of Bingöl from its lakes and floating islands: towns and villages with historic mosques, fountains, cemeteries and rural architecture. Choose one town or a nearby group of monuments and give it time. Some places lie outside the usual visitor routes, making confirmed access an essential part of planning the day.
Balaban Bey Mosque, also known as Piltan Bey Mosque, is associated with Aq Qoyunlu heritage. Visit it to appreciate the town's stone architecture while respecting its religious function. Check current admission arrangements before relying on older photographs. Previous maintenance or restoration does not establish that every area is open today; a view of the façade may be the appropriate visit if the interior is unavailable.
Kiğı's castle remains occupy high, rugged ground, with local information describing access as difficult. Consider the climb in advance rather than making a quick decision after the mosque. Ask for a current account of the route and what is open to the public. If access cannot be confirmed, enjoy the view from a permitted position, staying off ruins and unstable sections.
Bağlarpınarı village contains a group of heritage features including a mosque, fountains, cemetery, stone house and historic stone basin. Their setting together offers a chance to see how water, worship and housing related to village life. Begin at a clear meeting point after asking residents about the route, and seek permission before entering private buildings or courtyards.

The mosque and its surroundings offer details of stone craftsmanship. Focus on a few features, such as the entrance, water provision and relationship between building and road. Photograph inscriptions from a suitable distance without touching them or applying anything to make them clearer. In the cemetery, use the paths and leave gravestones and other stones in place.
Ask before photographing people or homes, and obtain permission to cross private land. Give residents room during agricultural work or local events, and avoid blocking the road with a vehicle. An available local product or meal in the town can be part of the outing, but check provision rather than expecting an open shop or restaurant in every village.
Choose Kiğı for a town walk and religious landmark, or Adaklı and the Bağlarpınarı group for a rural outing. Combine them only when the road and available time have been checked. Plan to return before dark, bring water and suitable shoes, and save your locations before departure. Giving two stops enough time is more rewarding than adding distant villages solely because they appear on a list of sights.
