Planning dental treatment safely
Türkiye offers many cosmetic and restorative dental services. Understanding the proposed material, the amount of tooth preparation and the follow-up plan helps you compare options beyond a “Hollywood smile” package.Clinical review, 8 October 2026: material choice, implant loading, travel dates and warranties require an individual assessment. The original claims of a maximum seven-day trip, guaranteed durability and minimal preparation for all veneers are not general clinical rules.
1. Zirconia, lithium disilicate and veneers
Zirconia: a strong ceramic used for crowns and bridges. It may be considered for posterior teeth and some anterior restorations, but the specific grade, bite and grinding habits matter. Appearance and translucency vary; “as strong as steel” is not a useful treatment guarantee.E.max: a brand associated with lithium-disilicate ceramics used for selected crowns and veneers. It can provide a translucent appearance, but it does not reproduce every natural tooth perfectly or suit every situation.
Laminate veneers: thin restorations bonded to the front of teeth. Some cases need little preparation; others involve irreversible removal of enamel. Ask why veneers or full crowns are proposed and whether less invasive alternatives are available.
No single material is automatically the best for all front teeth, bridges or patients who grind their teeth.
2. Dental implants
Staged treatment: the implant is placed and allowed to heal before the definitive restoration. Bone integration may take several months or longer. Three months is an example, not a universal interval or guarantee of success.Immediate placement and loading: placing an implant at extraction and attaching a temporary or definitive tooth early are different decisions. They may be possible in selected cases with suitable bone and stability; a same-day crown or three-day package is not suitable for everyone.
Implant identification: obtain the manufacturer, model and traceable details for your records. The source mentions Straumann, Nobel Biocare and BEGO as examples, not an exclusive recommendation. Ask about regulatory status, compatibility and access to replacement components at home.
3. How long should you stay?
A crown or veneer package may propose five to seven days: examination/imaging and preparation, a design or shade trial, then final fitting. Treatment should proceed only after disease, bite and suitability have been assessed; allow time for adjustments. An implant plan may involve an initial visit for placement and a later visit after healing for the final crowns. The source's three-day first visit and week-long return after three months are illustrative schedules. Grafting, complications or healing can require more visits and longer intervals. Obtain a written plan before booking flights.
4. Costs and questions before booking
Request an itemised quote identifying scans, preparation, temporary teeth, implants/abutments, final restorations, medicines, reviews and any grafting. The original article supplies no reliable average prices; obtain current patient-specific quotations.- Written warranty: ask what it covers, exclusions, required maintenance and who pays for travel or replacement. Ten-year or lifetime marketing claims are not a guarantee that a restoration will last that long.
- Digital smile design: a preview or trial can help discuss appearance, but it cannot guarantee the final result or clinical suitability.
- Shade choice: agree an appearance appropriate to your preferences and existing teeth. Codes such as BL1 and BL3 are examples from particular shade systems, not universal definitions of “natural”.
