Beach Football in Türkiye 2026: League Stages, National Finals, Points and Following Matches
Beach football has an organised domestic competition and rules that differ from eleven-a-side football and an informal game beside the sea. This guide explains the route to Türkiye’s finals, why wins earn different points, and how to identify a confirmed match. Information was checked on 28 October 2026; explaining the system does not confirm every stage or final date.

Identify the competition and year first
The domestic competition is TFF Plaj Futbolu Ligi, the Turkish Beach Football League. Its 2026 statute was adopted on 24 September and published on 30 September 2026. The season name is 2026: the document’s placement in a 2026–2027 website folder does not change the competition’s own title.
Separate club competition from Türkiye’s beach soccer national team and its internationals. Türkiye in an international result does not identify a domestic club fixture. A recreational beach tournament or municipal activity is not automatically part of the official league either. Search with the competition name, year and club or city, then check that the actual announcement identifies that competition.
From a local stage to the national finals
The system uses stages, called etap, followed by Türkiye Finalleri, the national finals. The standard stage has four teams in a single round robin, with its leader qualifying. TFF decides arrangements where numbers differ; neither an application nor an informal gathering establishes an accepted official stage.
The finals’ format and programme are announced before the event, with a draw beforehand. Qualifying for the national finals is therefore different from winning the national title. A report concluding a local stage establishes that stage’s outcome only. Keep its name when recording results so separate cities and stages do not become one invented league table.
| Level | What to read | What needs confirmation |
|---|---|---|
| Local stage / etap | Participants, results and stage table | Accepted format and programme |
| National finals | Qualifiers, draw and rounds | Announced system, venue and dates |
| Türkiye national team | An international national-team event | Competition, category and opponents |
Rules that change the viewing experience
Each team fields five players including a goalkeeper, with unlimited repeated substitutions under the required procedure. The standard game has three 12-minute periods of playing time. The clock stops for specified situations, including goals, free kicks, penalties and other referee stoppages. Adding 36 minutes to kick-off on your watch does not reliably predict when you can leave.
There is no offside, so an attacker near the opposing goal is not automatically offside. Free kicks have no defensive wall. Under the 2025–2026 laws, any player who was on the pitch when the offence occurred may take the free kick; do not copy an older requirement that only the fouled player can take it. The actual offence, restart location and required distances still depend on the incident.
| Feature | Beach football | Meaning for viewers |
|---|---|---|
| Players | 5 per team including goalkeeper | Rapid transitions in small spaces |
| Time | Three 12-minute playing periods | Allow more than 36 minutes for the visit |
| Offside | None | Do not apply a grass-football offside line |
| Free kick | No defensive wall | Defensive positioning differs from ordinary football |
Not every victory earns the same points
The Turkish statute awards three points for a normal-time win, two for an extra-time win and one for a shoot-out win; the loser receives none. Where a winner is needed, a drawn game goes to three minutes of extra time and then penalties. Shoot-out kicks are not added to the goals total or goal difference.
As an imaginary example, a team winning once in normal time and once on penalties collects four points from those two matches. Two normal-time victories produce six. Check how a result was decided rather than automatically multiplying every win by three. When teams finish level on points, consult the stage’s tie-break sequence instead of assuming the displayed overall goal difference settles everything.
| How the match is won | Winner’s points | Loser’s points |
|---|---|---|
| Normal time | 3 | 0 |
| Extra time | 2 | 0 |
| Penalty shoot-out | 1 | 0 |
Find the actual 2026 programme
Start with TFF’s beach football page, then read the complete date of the relevant notice or stage programme. A call for applications to organise a stage is different from approval of a venue and fixture list. An application deadline is not an opening match, and a plan to hold stages in October does not establish that all of them were played.
An Alanya 2025 finals report in the archive does not confirm the same location or dates for 2026. Match the year in the headline and body, and establish whether the page is a draw, programme or completed result. If a clear current programme is unavailable, keep travel flexible until an appropriate announcement appears. An undated poster shared online is insufficient confirmation.
Attending and watching from home
Once the fixture is confirmed, record the actual sand-court location, entrance, kick-off and sequence of matches that day. A city or beach name alone may not identify the event area. Ask the organiser about seating, shade, water, toilets, accessible entry and companion arrangements. Open public space around a beach does not establish unrestricted entry to every stand or controlled zone.
There is no verified universal admission price here and no assumption that every stage is free. Follow the organiser’s ticket or registration notice where one exists, including children’s entry and re-entry conditions. For streaming, check authorised coverage of this match: highlights or a previous edition’s stream do not establish current coverage. Confirm the programme before fixing transport, allowing time for extra time and penalties.
Club pathways, national teams and playing yourself
A domestic title can lead towards an international club event, but the overseas competition, acceptance and programme require their own announcements. Club qualification does not qualify Türkiye’s national team, or vice versa. When sharing a result, identify the local stage, national finals or national team, include the year and explain how the game was decided.
Official participation involves an accepted club, squad and eligibility conditions rather than simply booking a patch of beach. The 2026 statute includes youth, licensing and foreign-player provisions. Nationality alone does not establish a person’s eligibility. Ask the club to check your circumstances before committing to travel or equipment.
Common questions
Is this the Süper Lig played on sand?
No. It is a separate competition with its own rules and stage system.
Does every win earn three points?
No. Under Türkiye’s 2026 statute an extra-time win earns two and a shoot-out win one.
Is a stage winner already Türkiye’s champion?
Winning a stage leads to the national finals; the title follows the announced finals system.
Does the 2025 final establish the 2026 location?
No. Check the announcement for the required edition and year before travelling.
Can anyone join because they are on the beach?
Official competition requires club acceptance, squad registration and eligibility; recreational play is different.
