A coastal break between Rize outingsStaying on Rize's coast lets you combine city visits with trips towards the Fırtına Valley and highlands. However, a sea-view hotel may provide a very different experience from one with a private beach. First decide how much time you will give to the hotel, then compare its pool, spa, room category and route out to your daily destinations.

Ricosta is on the coast in Alipaşa and advertises a private beach, indoor and outdoor pools, the Aora spa centre, Turkish bath and restaurants. It lends itself to a stay where hotel time is a substantial part of the day, rather than simply sleeping after long outings in Rize and the nearby highlands.
For a coastal break between excursions. 
Confirm outdoor-pool and beach operation on your dates and ask what is included. Having a spa does not automatically include massages or every treatment in the room price.

Worth comparing for indoor facilities and a coastal stay. Check the actual offer, breakfast and children's policy, and ask about the room's orientation and floor. Arrange coast and highland days
Group Rize city sights into one day and give mountain excursions separate days according to roads and weather. Repeated returns from the highlands to the coast after long days can be tiring. Compare this with splitting your stay if Ayder is your main focus.
Compare the indoor pool, outdoor pool and beach separately, asking about operation and treatment charges. For a sea-view room, rely on the view recorded in the confirmation rather than general hotel photographs.
Compare the same dates, guest numbers and children's ages, then check the total price, breakfast, taxes and cancellation. Save confirmation of the room category and services before paying; prices and availability change with season and offer.
