Türkiye’s e-Devlet Kapısı is a central gateway to many public services. It is available to eligible foreign nationals with an officially issued foreigner identity number as well as Turkish citizens; a residence-permit holder is one example of an eligible user.
Depending on your status and the service’s requirements, one sign-in can help you:
- Check your registered address.
- Download certain official documents.
- Access appointments for particular services.
- Follow supported public-service transactions from home.
1) What is e-Devlet?
- It brings electronic services from many public institutions into one gateway.
- It can replace some visits to public offices, although a particular procedure may still require original documents, a signature or an in-person appointment.
- Service screens and official documents are commonly in Turkish. Some information or help is available in other languages, but do not assume that every linked transaction has a complete English version.
2) What do you need to sign in?
An accepted identity number- Foreign residents normally use their foreigner identity number — Yabancı Kimlik Numarası, or YKN — shown on their residence document. Other eligible foreign-status documents can also be accepted under the official rules.
An active phone number you control- A verified mobile number is useful for SMS codes, password recovery and account security. A Turkish mobile number is the practical choice for many local services. The exact authentication requirements depend on the sign-in method and transaction; a phone number is not itself proof of eligibility.
A password or another accepted sign-in method- Turkish citizens commonly obtain their initial password from an authorised PTT office.
- Foreign nationals with eligible officially issued identity numbers can also obtain a password at an authorised PTT office by presenting an accepted valid status document. A work-permit route also requires the passport specified in the guidance.
- Other supported sign-in methods include eligible electronic or mobile signatures and participating internet-banking arrangements. Availability depends on your documents and access to that method; not every identity-card option is available to every foreign user.
- Check the current official guidance or ask an authorised PTT office which documents apply to you. On first use of a temporary password, follow the instructions to set a secure personal password.
3) Useful services for residents and foreign nationals
Address services — Adres- Check the address held in the official registration system where that service is available to your account.
- Obtain supported address evidence or access eligible address-related services. Viewing or downloading a record is different from being eligible to change it online; some foreign residents must use the competent migration or population office.
Documents and general enquiries- Download certain electronic records, such as an available address document or personal-information record.
- Check supported social-security or public-health-insurance information if you are registered with SGK. The account does not itself provide insurance coverage.
Migration and residence-related services, where offered- Some migration enquiries and services are available through official integrated systems or links. Follow the route specified by Migration Management for your transaction; do not assume that signing into e-Devlet submits or renews a residence application.
Health services through e-Nabız and MHRS- Access your electronic health record where supported.
- Use the linked hospital-appointment system if you meet its identification and service requirements. Appointment access and entitlement to treatment or insurance are separate matters.
4) Practical tips
Keep your password secure and do not share it.
Verify the correct phone number in your account and update it if your number changes. Keep any recovery information current.
Use a trusted device, such as your own computer or phone, for sensitive transactions.
Before confirming an action, read the description and make sure you understand what it does, particularly for a financial or legal transaction. Get help with the wording without handing over your credentials.
Making everyday administration easier:
Learning to use e-Devlet can reduce:
- Queuing.
- Waiting time.
- Repeated visits to public offices.
