Türkiye’s 3. Lig 2026–2027: Groups, Clubs and Promotion from the Lowest Professional Tier
3. Lig brings together neighbourhood and provincial clubs alongside familiar names with substantial histories and support. It is Türkiye’s fourth tier and lowest professional division, rather than an amateur competition merely because its name contains the number 3. This 2026–2027 guide explains its groups, promotion route and relegation to PGL. Information was checked on 28 October 2026; the names below are participants, not live rankings.

Three regional groups in 2026–2027
The season’s statute provides for 54 clubs in three regional groups of 18. Each team meets the other clubs in its group home and away, producing 34 regular-season games per club. TFF labels the groups 01, 02 and 03, each with a separate table.
Start with the season and group number. A group count or play-off format from a previous year may no longer apply. Promotion is to 2. Lig, the next division up, rather than directly to 1. Lig or the Süper Lig. Relegation is to Profesyonelliğe Geçiş Ligi, abbreviated PGL.
Regional organisation does not mean every fixture is close to home or played at a ground bearing the city’s name. When choosing a game to visit, identify the group first, followed by the actual fixture and approved venue.
| Competition | Pyramid level | Relationship with 3. Lig |
|---|---|---|
| 2. Lig | Third; professional | Destination for promoted 3. Lig clubs |
| 3. Lig | Fourth; lowest professional division | 54 clubs in three groups of 18 |
| PGL | Highest amateur competition | Receives relegated clubs and offers a route into professional football |
Clubs in the three groups
These shortened names come from the current 2026–2027 tables when checked, without points or rankings. A match announcement may add sponsorship and legal company wording. Retain the Turkish identity and group. Each column is a separate group; clubs sharing a row are not listed as opponents.
For example, group 02 includes Eskişehirspor, Karşıyaka and Altay; group 03 includes Adanaspor and Yeni Malatyaspor. These are membership examples rather than recommendations based on current strength. Distinguish Eskişehirspor from Eskişehir Anadolu Spor, and the different clubs associated with Adana.
| Group 01 | Group 02 | Group 03 |
|---|---|---|
| Amasyaspor FK | 1922 Akşehir Spor | 1964 Silifke Spor |
| Beykoz Anadolu Spor | Alanya 1221 | Adana Adaletgücü |
| Büyükçekmece Gücü FK | Altay | Adanaspor |
| Düzcespor | Ayvalıkgücü Belediyespor | Ağrı 1970 |
| Fatsa Belediyespor | Balıkesirspor | Bitlis 1916 |
| Galata Spor | Bigaspor | Diyarbekir Spor |
| Gölcükspor | Bucaspor 1928 | Erciyes 38 |
| İnkılap Spor | Bursa Yıldırımspor | Karaköprü Belediyespor |
| Karabük İdmanyurdu | Denizli İdmanyurdu 1959 | Karaman FK |
| Kartal Bulvar Kartalimen | Eskişehir Anadolu Spor | Kırıkkale FK |

| Orduspor 1967 | Gaziemir G.O.G. | Mazıdağı Fosfat Spor |

What final league positions decide
The champion of each group is promoted directly to 2. Lig, giving three automatic places. Second, third, fourth and fifth enter their group’s promotion play-offs. Each group-final winner also goes up, adding three more promoted clubs: six in total.
Clubs finishing 15th, 16th, 17th and 18th in each group go down to PGL, 12 overall. These consequences apply to final regular-season positions. Occupying 15th now does not by itself establish completed relegation, and leading the table in October does not award the championship.
For a mid-table club, consider the distance from fifth and fifteenth alongside remaining games. Comparing its points with a different group does not establish play-off eligibility: the race is within its own group. Federation decisions and sanctions also matter when the table is confirmed.
Play-offs: two-legged ties and a group final
Second plays fifth and third plays fourth over two legs. Fourth and fifth host the opening matches, followed by return legs at the higher-placed clubs. The two winners meet in a single final at a neutral ground selected by TFF. There is no further final combining the three group play-off winners.
When wins or draws are equal across a tie, aggregate goals decide progression. If still level, two 15-minute extra-time periods follow the return leg, then penalties if required. A drawn final also goes to extra time and penalties after normal time.
As an illustration, fifth in group 02 can go up by winning the two-legged tie and the final. Its earlier position adds no further hurdle once it wins. Nor should an away-goals advantage be imported from another competition; identify the stage and governing format.
| Position or stage | Route | Outcome |
|---|---|---|
| First in each group | Direct promotion | Three promoted clubs |
| Second to fifth | 2 v 5 and 3 v 4 over two legs, then a neutral final | One further promoted club from each group |
| 15th–18th in each group | Relegation to PGL | 12 relegated clubs overall |
Read standings and results accurately
Select the group, then compare games played and points. An outstanding match can explain a difference in games played, without guaranteeing points for the club that has played fewer. A dash against an upcoming fixture is not a 0–0 result; cup outcomes are not league points.
Where the total differs from the wins-and-draws calculation, check deductions and relevant decisions. Resolving equal points depends on the governing rules and completed relevant meetings. A provisional mid-season sorting is not automatically the final tie-break outcome.
Date any table snapshot and identify the round it covers. If sponsorship or company wording changes, match the club identity through its federation page rather than treating one club as two different participants.
Follow a nearby club or a broadcast
From the 3. Lig page, choose 01, 02 or 03 and the required round, then open your club’s match details. Record the host, kick-off and stadium and cross-check the club announcement. TFF can change the day, time and venue; the initial fixture draw is not final travel confirmation for every week.
For remote viewing, use the official match announcement and authorised broadcaster’s programme, checking location and subscription conditions where applicable. A channel carrying highlights does not necessarily show the next game in full, and an uploader using a club crest is not automatically its authorised channel.
Matchday planning and costs before travelling
Use the host club’s designated channel for ticket sales, categories, entrance and arrival arrangements. Admission is not automatically free: the statute provides for ticket or season-card entry to stands. No verified uniform tariff for every club and fixture is given here.
Confirm the particular ground, especially during maintenance or a move to an approved alternative. Ask about children, away supporters and access requirements when relevant. Arrange the return trip from the real venue; a city name or archive photograph cannot replace the match record.
A useful introduction is to follow two clubs in the same group across several rounds. Track their results, programmes and play-off challenges. That builds an understanding of the season beyond one isolated score and makes promotion and relegation stories easier to interpret.
