Launch announcement poster showing the original 20 October deadline. Applications were subsequently extended to 26 October 2026 at 23:59.

The Digital University Platform (Dijital Üniversite Platformu) offers free online training in digital skills and sustainability under the auspices of the Council of Higher Education, YÖK. Applications were announced on 14 October 2026 and have been extended to 23:59 on 26 October, according to the Council’s announcement of 19 October 2026. Admission is subject to application assessment.

1️⃣ What can you study?
The programme brings together three schools and 16 modules: artificial intelligence, data analysis, and green transformation and sustainability. Options cover machine learning, software development, statistics, data analysis, clean energy and corporate sustainability. Choose a skill relevant to your work or studies rather than treating every module as compulsory.
Training is free and develops skills. Do not present it as admission to a university degree, a scholarship or a basis for student residence.

2️⃣ Who can apply, and how are applications assessed?
The platform specifies age 18 or above and invites students, researchers, professionals and others seeking to develop their skills. Assessment uses indicators such as academic grades, English proficiency and a motivation letter. “Open to everyone” does not guarantee acceptance.
International applicants should check the account, identity and selected-module requirements. The pages reviewed do not establish detailed eligibility for every nationality or residence document. Check the actual instructions before assuming final eligibility.

3️⃣ Dates and time commitment
StageAnnounced date

Results30 October 2026, with email notification
Classes begin3 November 2026
Between-term break23 January–28 February 2027
Overall programme end4 June 2027
The programme spans two terms and approximately 24 weeks. Individual modules can start and finish on different dates depending on their content. Check your module timetable before committing, particularly alongside a degree or job.

4️⃣ Choose modules and prepare your application
Applicants may select at most two modules, including modules from different schools, provided their schedules do not overlap.
  • Start at the official site, dijitaluniversiteplatformu.org, and read the module description and timetable.
  • Choose a specific goal: a skill needed for a project, research or work task.
  • Prepare your academic details and an honest motivation statement, and check the module’s English requirements.
  • Review the application before submitting, then monitor your email around the results date.
Capacity wording differs between the Council announcement and the platform overview. Do not rely on a promise of unlimited places or automatic acceptance.

5️⃣ Attendance and certificates
For each term, the platform permits two absences without make-up and three with make-up, linking the participation certificate to attendance within these limits. A success certificate requires a quiz average of at least 50. These programme conditions do not guarantee professional recognition or university credit.
Set aside weekly study and review time, and choose a module you can follow through to completion. Check its conditions when registering; free tuition still requires a realistic time commitment.
