Three Turkish Clubs in the EuroLeague 2026–2027: Teams, Players and Season Guide

The 2026–2027 EuroLeague season began on 24 September 2026 with 20 teams, including Fenerbahçe, Anadolu Efes and Beşiktaş. Their participation gives followers of Turkish basketball more European fixtures to watch, as well as domestic rivalries played out within the competition.

Beşiktaş returned with a one-season wildcard, while Fenerbahçe and Efes entered with squads that had undergone significant summer changes.

Teams, coaches and leading players

Team	Head coach	Players to follow
Fenerbahçe	Šarūnas Jasikevičius	Shane Larkin, Shavon Shields, Talen Horton-Tucker
Anadolu Efes	Pablo Laso	Mike James, Dario Šarić, Matthew Strazel
Beşiktaş	Dušan Alimpijević	Scottie Wilbekin, Jaylen Nowell

Tactical themes to follow:

Fenerbahçe: Watch how the new arrivals settle in and how playmaking and scoring responsibilities are shared across the backcourt.
Efes: The partnership between Mike James and Dario Šarić is worth following, particularly in organising the offence and creating opportunities for teammates.
Beşiktaş: Assess the team’s ability to maintain its level against different styles of opposition and during weeks with more than one European game.

The route to the title

Regular season: Each team plays 38 games, facing every opponent once at home and once away.
Direct qualification: The top six advance directly to the play-offs.
Play-in: Teams finishing seventh to tenth compete for the final two play-off places.
Play-offs: Four best-of-five series are played. Three wins are needed to advance.
Final Four: The four surviving teams contest the semi-finals, with the two winners meeting in the championship game.
