This is the English editorial edition of a 2025 guide, reviewed on 8 October 2026.

MHRS — Merkezi Hekim Randevu Sistemi, the Central Physician Appointment System, is used for appointments at participating Ministry of Health hospitals, dental services and family medicine services. It is available through the website, official app and telephone number 182.

Editorial clarification, 8 October 2026: MHRS is not an online-only service and does not cover every university or private hospital. Follow the confirmation and cancellation instructions displayed for your booking; where confirmation is required, the normal deadline is 20:00 on the preceding day, rather than a universal 24-hour rule.

Before registering

Foreign users normally need an eligible 11-digit foreign identity number whose details match the official record. Many numbers begin with 99, but that is not a complete description of every eligible identity category.

Have your date of birth and current contact information ready. If you have only a passport and cannot use the standard registration route, ask the hospital how it books foreign visitors.

Creating an account

  1. Open the secure official MHRS website or its official mobile app.
  2. Choose Randevu Al, then Üye Ol if you need to register.
  3. Enter the identity number, date of birth and other identity details requested, matching the official record.
  4. Provide your own mobile number and email where requested.
  5. Create a suitable password and complete the current verification prompts.
  6. Sign in and check your account details before booking.

Booking an appointment

Select the province, hospital or service, specialty and, where available, doctor. For example, İç Hastalıkları means internal medicine. Choose an available date and time, review the details and complete the booking.

Some services have referral, follow-up or other booking conditions. If the required appointment is not available online, use the official alternatives or ask the facility. A reservation is not confirmation that your insurance will pay for treatment.

Confirmation and cancellation

Open Randevularım to check upcoming bookings and their confirmation status. Where confirmation is required, normally confirm or cancel by 20:00 on the day before. Exemptions and automatically confirmed bookings exist; follow the status and instructions for the particular appointment.

Cancel promptly if you cannot attend. A person who confirms and then fails to attend may be prevented from booking another appointment in the same specialty for 15 days under the applicable rules. Do not apply that restriction indiscriminately to every cancelled or exempt appointment.

Children, family members and urgent care

Parents can use the appropriate authorised-person function for children under 18, subject to the required linked relationship and parental consent. A spouse or adult relative is not automatically added merely by entering their identity details.

Emergency care does not require an ordinary MHRS appointment. For a serious emergency, call 112 or use the appropriate emergency service. Booking rules and treatment charges are separate; this does not establish that every emergency-related service is free for every patient.

e-Government login may be available through the official service. A referral is required for some services or follow-up routes, not universally for all SGK consultations.

Where to find appointments, results and reports

MHRS provides appointment management, including the relevant history and cancellation functions. Laboratory results, medical reports, prescriptions and vaccination records belong primarily in e-Nabız or the treating facility’s system, where transmitted. Use the appropriate service instead of expecting all clinical records within MHRS itself.

Common questions

Can I register using only my passport? The standard foreign-user route uses an eligible foreign identity number. Ask the hospital about arrangements for passport-only visitors.

Does the app cost money? The official app is free. If using 182, check any telephone charge under your carrier’s tariff.

Can I find a same-day appointment? Sometimes, if a slot is available. Availability varies by facility and specialty.

Do I need insurance to book? Booking access and payment entitlement are different questions. Ask the facility about care as a self-paying or privately insured foreign patient and about any SGK entitlement.

On the day

Check the appointment message and confirmation status, bring the required identity document, and follow the facility’s arrival instructions. Allow roughly 15–20 minutes for registration when appropriate, including at large hospitals such as Başakşehir Çam ve Sakura, named in the original guide. Keep relevant reports and a medicine list ready so the consultation can proceed efficiently.
