School Sports in Türkiye 2026–2027: Registration, Athlete Documents, Team Lists and Travel Consent​

School sport starts with the school, discipline and appropriate category, followed by registration, documents and the competition list. Club registration or a coach’s agreement alone does not establish permission to represent a school. This guide explains the family’s checks and the school’s responsibilities, using the regulatory framework and official 2026–2027 announcements reviewed on 28 October 2026.

⁦⁩ Start with the PE teacher and school administration​

Ask which sports the school has entered, the categories, selection process, training schedule and responsible contact. Distinguish physical activities and school games from official Okul Sporları competition: documents and procedures differ. Choosing an activity to try does not guarantee a place on the competitive team.

Schools notify disciplines and categories through Spor Bilgi Sistemi according to the local calendar. Start before match day and do not treat another province’s deadline as yours. Ask about the school’s internal deadline, who communicates changes or postponements and whom to contact when the usual teacher is unavailable.

⁦⁩ Confirm category and season before issuing documents​

The season’s table and discipline instructions determine age, category, educational stage and promotion conditions. Do not copy birth years from a 2025–2026 announcement. Names such as Minikler, Küçükler, Yıldızlar and Gençler do not establish identical ages in every sport. Ask the school to check birth date, grade and selected category against current instructions.

The regulation permits three chosen sports with restrictions, including only one of basketball, football, futsal, handball and volleyball. Calendar clashes require a choice. If the pupil changes school, establish the consequences before adding them to a competition list. Promotion and school transfers have conditions that cannot be overridden by two coaches agreeing.

⁦⁩ Separate the licence, games card and competition list​

The authorised school user issues the student-athlete licence for competitions through the system. Oyun Kartı concerns physical activities and games under the framework. Establish which document your activity requires; a club membership card or last season’s licence is not an automatic substitute. Check identity, school, sport, category and date.

The ministry guide linked from Sivas’s current page explains the administrative sequence: school discipline commitment, student licensing, adding licensed pupils to a team for team sports, then creating the Esame Listesi for the competition. That guide predates this season and menu names can change; the school follows current instructions and interface while distinguishing these stages.

A licence does not prove the pupil appears on the match list. Request confirmation before travelling and establish who corrects an error. The technical meeting and document checks need the team official’s attention; a circulating calendar screenshot is insufficient.

⁦⁩ Prepare identification, health documents and consent​

Participation documents include the licence or games card, appropriate official identification and guardian consent collected by the school. Discipline instructions may require additional documents. Establish what is uploaded and which originals travel to the event. Retain consent copies without putting the pupil’s medical file in public groups.

Under the health framework issued on 11 August 2026, school sport uses the health-status-document route, with medical referral where assessment requires it. Follow the school and system procedure and any referral. A general report or coach’s statement does not replace the required document. A minor’s guardian completes consent through the accepted route.

Foreign pupils may compete with a licence under the regulation, but nationality or school enrolment alone does not settle the entire file. Present actual identity documentation and status to the school and school-sports unit to establish requirements. Representing Türkiye internationally requires Turkish citizenship, a separate matter from domestic school participation.

⁦⁩ Participation consent does not replace travel consent​

For travel to another province, establish the approved delegation list, supervision, transport, accommodation, assembly and return times and responsible telephone contact. The framework distinguishes activity consent from an approved delegation list; travel can also require an electronic step. Avoid booking family travel or paying based only on possible selection.

The event, province, district and period include the technical meeting. Obtain the school’s instructions and appropriate form for its trip rather than applying Ankara’s copy numbers or templates nationwide.

⁦⁩ Follow calendars, costs and postponements​

Competition begins locally, with progression determined by sport, results and quotas. Winning one local match does not automatically book international participation. Follow the organiser’s latest announcement: Sivas’s current-season page contains actual postponements and updates, illustrating why the first calendar alone is insufficient for travel arrangements.

The regulation provides that schools, student-athletes and players are not charged a participation application fee for competitions. This does not make equipment, extra coaching or family transport free. Ask what the delegation arrangements cover, what is separate and who receives payment with documentation. This guide supplies no uniform travel allowance or estimated equipment price.

⁦⁩ Resolve registration problems through the school​

For an identity, category or school error, ask the authorised user to check the record with the provincial youth and sports directorate’s school-sports unit rather than create a duplicate. If entry has closed, establish the discipline’s and school’s position and any permitted procedure. Another event not yet starting does not guarantee late acceptance.

The school official should pursue an eligibility or results objection through the committee under the sport’s instructions and deadline, retaining decisions and evidence. Do not accuse another pupil or publish their records to investigate age. Balance study, training and rest, and communicate access, support or relevant health needs through the appropriate channel.
