Home internet is an essential service when settling in Türkiye. This 2025 guide compares several major providers and explains what to check against your address and your needs.
Editorial update — 8 October 2026: The prices and speed ranges below reproduce examples in the original 2025 guide. They have not been verified as historical market averages and are not current quotations. Check the provider's live offer, address coverage, installation charges and commitment terms before applying.
Major internet providers
- Türk Telekom: a major fixed-line provider; check which connection types are available at your building.
- TürkNet: offers home internet without a minimum-term commitment, with the available speed determined by the infrastructure at your address.
- Vodafone Net: offers home-internet packages; availability and any mobile-customer discount depend on the current offer.
- Superonline (Turkcell): another provider to compare, particularly where its fibre service is available.
The original guide's 2025 comparison
Historical examples only: these are the original guide's figures in Turkish lira per month. The speed column describes its quoted ranges, rather than measured average performance. The comments identify features to investigate, rather than guaranteed benefits.| Provider | Quoted speed range | 2025 monthly price example | What to compare |
|---|---|---|---|
| Türk Telekom | 24–100 Mbps | TRY 450–800 | Address coverage and support arrangements |
| TürkNet | 50–1,000 Mbps | TRY 599 | No minimum-term commitment; available speed |
| Vodafone Net | 24–200 Mbps | TRY 450–750 | Any applicable mobile-customer discount |
| Superonline | 100–1,000 Mbps | TRY 600–900 | Fibre availability and connection performance |
Connection types
- Fibre: can provide high speeds where the building has suitable infrastructure. The package, installation and equipment affect the service you receive.
- VDSL: uses a copper telephone connection for the final part of the line; the achievable speed depends on line conditions.
- ADSL: generally offers lower speeds and may suit lighter use. It is not necessarily the cheapest current offer.
Before choosing a provider
- Use the provider's address checker to confirm availability at the exact building and flat.
- For a temporary rental, compare packages without a long minimum-term commitment.
- Ask neighbours in the same building about their experience, particularly at busy times.
- Read cancellation terms and check installation, activation and modem charges as well as the monthly price.
Applying for home internet
- Ask the provider which identity documents it accepts for your nationality and status. Have your passport and residence card, where applicable, ready.
- Provide the full installation address and any requested tenancy or address-registration evidence.
- If a utility bill in your name is requested, check what alternatives the provider accepts. It is not a universal requirement for every package.
- Review and sign the subscription agreement through the provider's approved branch or online process.
- Arrange installation and ask for a realistic activation date. The original guide's estimate of two to three days is not a service guarantee.
Home internet without a wired connection
SIM-based router products, such as Vodafone RedBox, use the mobile network to provide Wi-Fi at home. They may be useful for temporary accommodation or a building without suitable fixed-line infrastructure, provided the provider accepts the address and coverage is sufficient.Check the modem, SIM, data allowance, any speed limit and commitment conditions. A monthly data allowance is different from a speed limit. The original attribution of this type of product to TürkNet was not verified.
Frequently asked questions
Can I switch providers?Yes, providers offer migration procedures, often described as İnternet Hizmeti Taşıma. Ask the new provider how to transfer the service before cancelling the old one. Confirm downtime and any telephone-number transfer separately.
Are long contracts compulsory?
Some offers have a minimum commitment of 12 months or longer. TürkNet advertises service without a minimum-term commitment, but a subscription agreement still applies and installation or equipment charges may remain payable.
Can I subscribe without a residence permit?
Do not assume either automatic acceptance or a universal refusal. Ask the provider which documents and verification route apply to you before paying for a package.
Additional tips
- Use a speed test, such as Speedtest.net, to assess your connection; a wired test can help distinguish the internet service from a Wi-Fi problem.
- Check Vodafone and Superonline's current campaigns, comparing the total cost rather than the headline discount alone.
- Keep your subscriber number, agreement and first installation invoice.
