Akasya on the Asian side: location and when to choose it
Akasya in Acıbadem, Üsküdar, is practical for a shopping-centre visit on the Asian side with clear metro or Metrobus access. It combines shopping, food, social spaces and a park, and houses KidZania Istanbul. Build the family day around a particular interest, adding purchases or a meal as time allows.
Its link with Ünalan station on M4, and access from Uzunçayır Metrobus, are useful features. Begin planning from your accommodation: choose the easier journey and identify the station exit and return route before listing shops and activities.

Akasya’s FAQ lists regular daily hours of 10:00–22:00, while KidZania, films and performances follow separate programmes. If an activity is the reason for travelling, fix its time before fitting shopping and food around it. Food, coffee and the park
Restaurant locations help you choose a break near your shopping. The directory lists Happy Moon’s and Divan Brasserie on ground, Tamirane on first, Burger King and Tavuk Dünyası on second, Shake Shack on −1, and Starbucks on ground and first. These are options and locations, not quality rankings, table guarantees or prices.
Agree on food type and budget before sitting down, then inspect today’s menu, drinks and extras. Before a film or children’s activity, allow time for ordering, payment and reaching the entrance as well as eating. If shopping is the main aim, agree one break or activity with children at a set time. Choose a clear meeting point if the group separates and keep your entrance name. These details reduce calls and searching after family members spread among shops.
The operator describes role-play for ages 2–14. Its rules require a guardian at entry, an adult inside with children under seven, and matching child/guardian wristbands at collection. An activity booking is not automatic permission to leave any child and go shopping. Confirm the rules for their age, needs and collection first.
The amounts and times below were read on the operator’s current homepage on 28 October 2026: advertised entrance for ages 4–14 is 3,590 TRY, or 2,350 TRY after 16:00 at weekends, with one guardian per child under the stated terms. Cinema, AKS and other activities
Akasya has a park and Akasya Kültür Sanat, its arts and culture space known as AKS. Check the programme if interested in a cultural activity during your trip, as an event is not guaranteed on each visit. Let weather and the family’s energy after walking determine a park break.
Record the façade and family outing without close-ups of passers-by. Choose photographs that tell the day’s story: arrival, a break and an architectural detail that caught your eye.
The entertainment directory lists Paribu Cineverse on third, including IMAX and ScreenX, AKS on third too, and Retro Lunapark in Akasya Park. Decide between a film, performance or outdoor activity, then check the actual programme and ticket. A venue’s presence does not establish a suitable session at every hour.

Arriving through Ünalan, Metrobus and Marmaray
Follow Akasya signs when leaving Ünalan. M4 connects with Marmaray at Ayrılık Çeşmesi and the Metrobus at Ünalan.
On M4 from Kadıköy, travel towards Sabiha Gökçen and leave at Ünalan; from a Marmaray interchange at Ayrılık Çeşmesi, the direction is the same. Returning from Ünalan towards Kadıköy or the Marmaray interchange, use the Kadıköy direction. Check operating signs and notices on your date; these are direction instructions rather than departure times.
From Uzunçayır Metrobus, follow the connection and mall signs and allow time inside the station and passages before an activity. This guide gives neither an exit number nor a measured walk time, and does not assume every lift is always working. With a wheelchair or pushchair, confirm the appropriate route from your arrival point to the entrance and auditorium.
Save the return route before entering and do not equate shop closing with the last train or bus. For a car, specify Akasya AVM Acıbadem and retain the relevant entrance address; meeting points can differ on the north and south sides. Avoid a fixed fare or journey-time assumption in Istanbul traffic.

Parking, family services and budgeting
Choose the return according to bags and children’s energy. Leave heavy purchases until the end and allow enough time to reach the station. Convenient transport becomes part of enjoying a day organised from the first station to the final bag.

For a mobility need, confirm the requested wheelchair, loan conditions, lift route and designated parking beforehand. Building facilities do not establish an accessible entire journey from the hotel. Separate purchases, food, KidZania or cinema, parking and services in the budget, leaving heavy purchases until departure.
