Mall of Istanbul: Family Shopping and Entertainment Together
Why choose Mall of Istanbul and when to visit
Mall of Istanbul suits a clearly allocated part of the trip for shopping and entertainment. In Başakşehir on the European side, it combines shops, restaurants and cafés with a cinema and entertainment facilities. Family members can pursue different interests in one place: clothing purchases, a meal, then a children’s activity or performance from the available programme.
The centre is large, so arrive with a short shopping list rather than trying every shop. If staying in central Istanbul, calculate travel time before fitting it between two busy sightseeing stops. Its scale and variety of activities favour a dedicated visit over a brief stop.
Advertised opening hours are Sunday–Thursday 10:00–22:00 and Friday–Saturday 10:00–22:30. Check changes for holidays and special occasions.
These hours were rechecked on 28 October 2026. Make the ride, film or show time a fixed point and arrange shopping and food around it; MOİPark advertises different hours from the shops. Select Mall of İstanbul in Başakşehir when booking transport and name the entrance when meeting family.
Allow roughly three to four hours for shopping and a meal as a planning estimate, then add the chosen activity, waiting and travel. With limited time, choose two shops and a meal instead of trying to cover the centre. This is a suggested schedule, not an official visit duration or a promise of quiet conditions.
Shopping: choose the category and floor first
Begin with products needing size or quality comparisons, leaving straightforward purchases until last. Divide the route between clothing, footwear, accessories and homeware, checking the directory for the correct floors.
MOİAPP helps locate stores and find announced events and offers. Rather than relying on a remembered corridor, save the shop name and floor if you intend to return.
For a gift, ask about exchanges and returns before paying. For larger items, consider luggage weight and space, particularly if your trip includes other journeys within Türkiye.
The official directory covers fashion, sport, children, homeware and electronics. The table gives examples read on 28 October 2026, without promising any size or product. Follow the floor names on the signs: Zemin Kat means ground floor and differs from 1. Kat.
Compare the final price, fit and material before paying. A discount inside a large shopping centre is not automatically an outlet price, and a general campaign need not cover every branch or product. For electronics, check the model, warranty and suitability for use in your home country. Ask a retailer about tax-refund participation and documents before the invoice is issued; a Tax Free service in the mall does not make every purchase eligible.

Food, coffee, MOİ Cadde and Pera Cadde
Indoor and outdoor social spaces include MOİ Cadde and Pera Cadde. Put a coffee break between shopping rounds to interrupt the walking. For the cinema, check film language and subtitles, especially with children.
Food-directory examples include Burger King and Tavuk Dünyası on the third floor, Big Chef’s and Happy Moons on the second, Starbucks and Caffe Nero on the first, and Wagamama and Huqqabaz in Pera Cadde. These examples help locate a style of break; they are not a quality ranking or a promise of a table or fixed menu prices.
If family tastes differ, choose the type of meal first, then check the menu, price and portion before sitting down. Discuss food allergies with the restaurant itself. Before a film or show, allow for ordering, payment and reaching the auditorium as well as eating.
MOİ Cadde links the centre to the metro, while Pera Cadde brings part of the experience outdoors. Choose an outdoor table according to the weather and keep an indoor alternative for rain. No dated restaurant menus were established in this reading, so no meal-price estimate is invented.

MOİPark: ages, cards and costs
MOİPark is an indoor amusement area on two levels. The mall page describes the upper level for ages 4–10 and the lower for visitors over 10; this is a broad layout guide, not permission for every child to use every ride. Read each ride’s height, age and safety rules and check whether an accompanying adult is needed before loading credit.
The park’s official FAQ, read on 28 October 2026, advertises daily 12:00–22:00 hours and a free, reloadable MOİFUN CARD, with different credit charges for different games. It states that remaining credit is non-refundable and can be used later without expiry under the published terms. Load an amount suited to the rides chosen and distinguish per-person admission from ride costs.
A static displayed rate and a dated offer need separate treatment: the FAQ lists 15 TRY per credit and one credit for admission, with free admission for ages 0–2, but shows no visible update date. Confirm the actual tariff at the ticket desk before paying. That amount is not an all-rides ticket or a full-visit package.
Do not rely on the banner still advertising 100 minutes for 1,500 TRY: the offer’s own terms image specifies 14 September–25 October 2026. That period had ended before the 28 October check, so it is not presented here as an active offer. Read the dates, excluded rides and card conditions of any replacement promotion before purchase.

Cinema and performances: plan time and content
The centre has MOİPark for indoor rides, Cinetech for films and MOİ Sahne for performances. Choose according to a child’s age and interests, checking ride conditions or performance times before buying. Visiting the centre does not mean every activity is included or suitable for all ages.
The directory lists Cinetech and MOİ Sahne on the third floor. For a film, check the title, start time, auditorium, format, spoken or dubbed language, subtitles, age rating and final seat price. A children’s film does not establish Arabic or English dubbing.
The MOİ Sahne page describes theatre, concerts, stand-up and children’s plays. The current reading returned no matching events. That does not establish a theatre closure, but it also does not establish a show on your visit date. Book from a particular event announcement after checking its date, age guidance, language and late-entry or cancellation conditions.
Budget for cinema or theatre separately from MOİPark credit and food. No dated film-session or performance ticket price was established here, so no universal amount or available seat is promised. If the programme does not suit the children, a short break after shopping can be enough.
Getting there: MASKO on M9 and the return
Use MASKO on M9, the Ataköy–Olimpiyat line, with a direct connection to the centre. Depending on your starting point, change to M9 from M1A at Yenibosna or M3 at İkitelli Sanayi. Search by station name in your journey app, keeping M9 and M3 distinct.
On M9 from Yenibosna towards MASKO, take the Olimpiyat direction; from İkitelli Sanayi, take the Ataköy direction. Marmaray passengers can change at Ataköy to M9 towards Olimpiyat. These directions follow the official station order; check your journey app and operating notices on the day for changes.
The mall’s official directions identify Demirciler Sitesi bus stop and routes 98H, 146T and 76O. Check the direction and actual departures from your starting point; the number alone is not a guaranteed hotel route. By car, identify the mall entrance or meeting point and allow for traffic without relying on a fixed journey time or fare.
Save the return route before entering, particularly if an activity ends near shop closing. Mall closing time is not the last train or bus time; allow for walking and interchanges. With a pushchair or wheelchair, check the lift and suitable route through the station and entrance on your visit date.

Parking, services and a family plan
Baby-care rooms, prayer facilities and parking are available. Ask information for the nearest service you need on arrival, and agree a clear meeting point if family members divide between shopping and entertainment. Photograph your parking location and floor number before leaving the car.
The official services page lists free indoor parking; the FAQ also identifies open and covered parking and valet. Distinguish self-parking from valet and electric-vehicle charging. No valet or charging tariff was established here, and free parking does not automatically include them. Follow entrance signs and note the handover point when using valet.
Listed services include information, baby care and Tax Free on the first floor, lockers, a wheelchair and an ATM for people with disabilities, plus a ground-floor first-aid point. The FAQ identifies prayer rooms on the ground and fourth floors. Ask information about the location, conditions and availability of what you need. Listing a wheelchair does not guarantee immediate availability or establish accessibility along every external route.
Name a meeting shop and floor, schedule a break before a child gets tired and separate their activity from a long buying round. For lost items, contact information with a description and likely location; the official contact for lost belongings is [email protected].
One approach is to finish essential purchases first, eat, then end with a short activity. If several shopping centres feature in your itinerary, compare their directories before travelling. Choosing a destination suited to your needs leaves time for walking and enjoying the rest of Istanbul.

Is the station on M3 or M9?
MASKO is on M9. M3 passengers change at İkitelli Sanayi to M9 towards Ataköy. Save both station and direction.
Does MOİPark open with the shops?
The park’s FAQ advertises daily 12:00–22:00, while the mall opens at 10:00. Check special changes on your date.
Is the 100 minutes for 1,500 TRY offer active?
The inspected terms board ends 25 October 2026. It is therefore not treated as active at the 28 October check despite the banner remaining visible.
Does a free card mean free rides?
No. MOİFUN CARD itself is free, but admission and rides have credit charges and conditions. Ask the actual tariff and child conditions before loading.
Is parking free and does it include valet?
The official page lists free indoor parking. That does not establish free valet or vehicle charging; ask the service price first.
