🏟️ Süper Lig clubs 2026–2027: a journey through the cities and stadiums

Following Turkish football becomes more rewarding when you know the city each club represents, the ground where its supporters gather and where to go if you decide to watch from the stands.

Behind the club names lie distinct neighbourhoods, cities and experiences: from Istanbul on both banks of the Bosphorus to the Black Sea cities, then İzmir, Ankara and Konya, and on to Erzurum, Diyarbakır and Gaziantep.

This guide brings together the 2026–2027 clubs, their cities and their stadiums in clear tables. Turkish stadium names help you search for the right place, while the explanations address potentially confusing details such as changing sponsors’ names and clubs playing outside the district whose name they bear.

📅 Information reviewed: 30 September 2026. These are the established grounds identified when the guide was prepared. Confirm the venue for each fixture in the match announcement and official match record.

⚽ The Süper Lig on the map

The season has 18 clubs. Counting the clubs’ bases in the tables gives a total of 13 Turkish provinces: Istanbul has six clubs, while the other 12 are spread across 12 provinces.

The primary participant list is the Turkish Football Federation’s Süper Lig clubs page. The province count and geographical distribution are calculated from that list.

🌉 Istanbul: six clubs in different parts of the city

Six clubs in one city give visitors plenty of choice, but make locating the actual stadium essential. The distance from your accommodation and any journey between the city’s two sides can shape the entire matchday.

Fenerbahçe plays in Kadıköy on the Asian side. The grounds listed for Istanbul’s other clubs are on the European side.

KasımpaşaKasımpaşa / BeyoğluRecep Tayyip Erdoğan Stadium — Recep Tayyip Erdoğan Stadyumu
EyüpsporEsenyurtEsenyurt Necmi Kadıoğlu Stadium — Esenyurt Necmi Kadıoğlu Stadı

📍 Pay particular attention to Eyüpspor’s ground

The club is associated with Eyüpsultan, but its home venue listed for 2026–2027 is Necmi Kadıoğlu Stadium in Esenyurt. Searching only for the club’s name or heading to the Eyüpsultan district will therefore not get you to the match.

The TFF record for its match against Gaziantep on 23 August 2026 confirms that the game was played at Esenyurt Necmi Kadıoğlu Stadium.

🚇 How should you use the table?

Start with the stadium name, identify its location and the gate shown on your ticket, then plan your outward and return journeys. If you hope to attend more than one match during a visit, check each confirmed schedule before arranging transport. Two games being in Istanbul does not mean combining them on the same day will be straightforward.

🌊 The Black Sea: Trabzon, Rize, Samsun and Çorum

These clubs extend the league’s geographical reach well beyond Istanbul. The table brings together the coastal cities of Trabzon, Rize and Samsun with Çorum, in the inland part of the Black Sea region.

That distinction matters for visitors: a city being in the Black Sea region does not necessarily mean it is on the coast or a short journey from its coastal neighbours.

🏟️ Trabzon: check the stadium name when searching

Older photographs and reports may use different names for Trabzon’s stadium, including Medical Park. The club’s match centre uses Papara Park for the ground in the 2026–2027 season.

Old pictures of Hüseyin Avni Aker show a different stadium. Distinguish the club’s historical photographs from images of its ground in Akyazı.

☁️ Checking the weather is part of planning

Check the forecast for the stadium itself in the days before your match. The Turkish State Meteorological Service provides a dedicated stadium weather-forecast page, useful for choosing clothing and planning transport.

🧭 The west, centre and south: from Kocaeli to Alanya

This group contains five clubs in distinct destinations: Kocaeli in the Marmara region, İzmir on the Aegean coast, Ankara and Konya inland, and Alanya on the Mediterranean.

Each needs its own travel plan. Alanya is in Antalya province, but its stadium is not in Antalya city centre. Similarly, searching for İzmit helps when locating Kocaelispor and planning how to get there.

AlanyasporAlanya, Antalya provinceAlanya Oba Stadium — Alanya Oba Stadyumu

🟡🔴 Göztepe: Gürsel Aksel and ISONEM Park

In December 2025, Göztepe announced a stadium naming-rights agreement with ISONEM. The name on the club’s website now combines ISONEM Park with Gürsel Aksel.

Some photographs and articles therefore use “Gürsel Aksel” alone, while others use “ISONEM Park”. Both help identify the same facility in İzmir.

🌴 Alanya: include Oba in your search

Alanyaspor’s official 2026–2027 season-ticket announcements use “Alanya Oba Stadyumu”. You may see “GAİN Park” in earlier material: the club announced that this naming agreement covered 2024–2025 and 2025–2026.

🏛️ Ankara: check the specific match announcement

Gençlerbirliği announced 2026–2027 season tickets for its home games at Eryaman Stadium. When planning to attend, use the ground stated in that fixture’s announcement, particularly when news about new facilities or future moves is circulating.

References for these updates: Kocaelispor’s 2026–2027 season • Göztepe’s stadium-name announcement • Gençlerbirliği and Eryaman Stadium • Konya’s stadium • Alanyaspor and Oba Stadium.

🏔️ The east and south-east: Erzurum, Diyarbakır and Gaziantep

These three cities complete the season’s club map. Including them broadens your understanding of the league and connects the teams’ names with the places they represent.

ClubCityGround and Turkish name

Amedspor — Amed Sportif FaaliyetlerDiyarbakırDiyarbakır Stadium — Diyarbakır Stadyumu
Gaziantep FKGaziantepGaziantep Stadium — Gaziantep Stadyumu

Ticket searches and match records may show Amedspor under its longer official name, “Amed Sportif Faaliyetler”. Gaziantep may likewise appear as “Gaziantep Futbol Kulübü”.

Keeping the Turkish club and stadium names to hand makes it easier to match search results to federation pages, club announcements and mapping services.

TFF records: Erzurumspor • Amedspor • Gaziantep.

🔎 Why can one stadium have several names?

Some grounds combine a historical name or sports-complex name with a commercial sponsor’s name. An old report may therefore use a different name from the one currently printed on your ticket or the official website.

At Fenerbahçe, for example, “Chobani” appears alongside the Şükrü Saracoğlu Sports Complex name, while Galatasaray’s ground combines “RAMS Park” with the Ali Sami Yen Sports Complex.

To check that you have found the correct place, match three things: the club, the city and the stadium’s location. For a particular match, also check the venue named in its official match record.

A stadium’s published overall capacity is not the number of tickets available for every fixture. The seats offered may vary with the allocation of sections and the arrangements for that match. Use its official sales seating plan when buying a seat.

🎟️ A practical checklist before heading to any ground

What should you check? How does it help?
Date and kick-off timeRead the final scheduling announcement. A round number alone does not establish the day or kick-off time.
The actual venueMatch the club’s announcement to the TFF match record.
The ticket-sales channelStart with the link the club announces for the fixture and read its entry requirements.
Stand and gateLocate your seat and gate before arriving, particularly at large grounds.
Travel there and backCheck the transport route and operating times, allowing for crowds, entry and departure.
Children and accessibilityCheck the club’s ticket conditions and dedicated services before buying.
WeatherCheck a forecast close to the match date and choose clothing suitable for the time you will spend in the stands.
