Organized registration, accurate listings and orders you can fulfill
An illustrative image of online shopping and payments.
Opening a Trendyol store starts with a clear business file and a product you can source and deliver, followed by platform registration. A buyer account or an existing following is not enough to begin commercial selling. The entity contracting, issuing invoices and receiving proceeds must match the information submitted to the platform, supported by actual stock and procedures for shipping and returns.
This guide covers selling within the Turkish market, from preparing an application to the first listing and shipment. If you reside abroad or own only a foreign company, establish that entity's acceptance route with seller support before preparing substantial stock. Exporting through platform services requires separate eligibility and procedures from opening a domestic store. The goal is a published product whose orders can be fulfilled and costs reconciled, without treating application approval or sales as guaranteed.
Establish who sells and what will be sold
The official partnership page requires a business in a company form such as a sole proprietorship, limited company or joint-stock company, taxpayer status, appropriate stock and the capacity to sustain selling operations. Choose the category and product before applying: clothing differs operationally from appliances or cosmetics in attributes, warranties, safety and product documentation.
Prepare an internal decision sheet identifying the entity, incorporation country, warehouse address, invoice issuer, supplier and available quantity. Also identify who follows orders in Turkish and answers customer inquiries when the owner is absent. Successful email creation or access to the seller page does not establish completed acceptance.
Begin with a product having limited variants to expose data errors more easily. Testing one clearly specified item is simpler than publishing many sizes and colors before creating stock records for each. This is an operating suggestion rather than a platform-imposed limit.
Separate incorporation from foreign-owner eligibility
A foreign investor may establish a company in Türkiye under incorporation rules, but ownership alone does not settle work authorization or seller-file acceptance. If you will personally manage or fulfill operations within Türkiye, assess the work-permit or exemption status applicable to your role with a specialist. Residence permission is not a general substitute, and assessment of a partner or manager differs from that of a shareholder who does not work.
Ask the platform about your company type and representative: which identity evidence is accepted, whether translation or certification is needed, how a foreign representative registers, and which bank account can receive proceeds. Do not use another person's details for superficial approval; differences between contracting party, beneficiary and invoice issuer surface during verification and settlement.
Official ETBİS FAQs state that selling solely through a domestic intermediary does not create registration and reporting duties in that system. An independent store or foreign-intermediary route may change the scope. This ETBİS rule does not remove taxes or seller responsibilities.
Prepare a consistent file before uploading documents
Assemble a preparation file, then match it to your application's current checklist rather than assuming one list for all entities. Ask for each document by its Turkish name to avoid uploading something with a similar function that is not requested. Keep clear complete copies; cropped images and abbreviated trade names may complicate verification.
Vergi Levhası records tax information, while İmza Sirküleri or İmza Beyannamesi concern signatures and representation according to the case. Ticaret Sicil Gazetesi concerns trade registration for companies to which it applies. Preparing these does not mean every seller needs all of them: entity type, current fields and support requests govern.
Track each document, issuer, latest version, owner and acceptance status. Update both the file and registered business details when company or representative information changes. If KEP is requested, treat it as registered electronic mail rather than ordinary email, and do not assume a particular provider's promotional price is a fixed requirement.
| Preparation-file item | Name to ask about | What must match |
|---|---|---|
| Tax information | Vergi Levhası / VKN | Legal name, tax number and address |
| Representation evidence | İmza Sirküleri or İmza Beyannamesi as applicable | Representative's name and signing scope |
| Trade registration where applicable | Ticaret Sicil Gazetesi | Entity and representation with the latest amendment |
| Settlement of proceeds | IBAN and accepted account-holder name | Beneficiary and contracting entity |
| Official contact where requested | KEP | The business's registered address |
Submit the application and retain the contract record
Enter the seller route through Trendyol's official website and consult the seller information center's getting-started guide. Buttons and screen order may change; follow the current form rather than literally copying old videos. Use business-controlled email and an accessible telephone number, assigning staff permissions instead of uncontrolled shared logins.
Review legal name, company type, taxes, addresses and representative before submission. Correct identified omissions and resubmit the proper document. Retain application numbers, messages and amendment dates, avoiding conflicting applications for the same entity merely to accelerate replies. Do not assume a fixed approval date; verification may require further information.
Before accepting the contract, read commission, settlement, deduction, shipping, dispute and termination arrangements. Save the contract, annexes and category tariff. For promotions, record duration, eligibility and benefit limits, and calculate costs after expiry too.
Product photography is part of preparing a clear listing.
Choose the correct category, brand and variant
Do not choose a low-commission category that misdescribes the goods. Categories determine required attributes and presentation and may carry specific documents or restrictions. Start with actual use, material, dimensions, model and manufacturer, then match the platform category and attributes.
Distinguish the platform barcode identifying products or variants, the internal stock code, and model codes grouping certain variants. Official integration documents distinguish barcode, stockCode and productMainId; confusing them may send price or stock updates to the wrong item. Keep one register linking these codes to physical shelf stock.
For branded goods, verify attribution and retain supply invoices and any permission required for the case. Invoices do not automatically grant rights to copy supplier images or claim authorized-distributor status. For unbranded goods, use the category's accepted route rather than assigning a famous brand for visibility.
| Information | Purpose | Error to prevent |
|---|---|---|
| Category | Identify product type and attributes | Place goods in an unsuitable category |
| Brand | Identify the actual brand | Attribute generic goods to a protected brand |
| Barcode | Identify the item or variant in the workflow | Use one code for two different items |
| Internal stock code | Link the platform to warehouse records | Fail to connect it to actual quantities |
| Model and variant code | Organize sizes and colors | Combine variants differing from the displayed product |
Build product pages from verifiable data
Photograph what customers will receive and specify what prices include and exclude. Do not show several items when selling one without explanation. Write an understandable Turkish title naming the product and key specification, followed by size, material, contents, usage and care information where needed.
This guide's illustrative images are not listing images for your goods. Commercial product images must match the item and be yours to use. If you photographed a prototype and suppliers later changed material or color, update content before selling the new batch. Certificate, resistance or compatibility claims need evidence for that specific model.
Complete required attributes from supplier information and inspected samples rather than guesses. Check spelling and units on phones and ask someone unfamiliar with the product to explain what the page communicates. If that differs from reality, correct it before submission. Later comments and questions reveal missing information.
Calculate order costs without generalizing commission
Commission may vary by category, contract, promotion and seller status. Use the current tariff for your product rather than an online percentage as a universal price. Separate commission from shipping, advertising, services, seller-funded discounts and tax withholding from proceeds. Collection and profit calculation are different processes.
The following fully hypothetical teaching example in lira is not a Trendyol quotation. It assumes an analytical sales amount of 1500, goods costing 800 and expenses of 225, 70, 20 and 50. The remaining 335 is contribution before fixed costs and tax reconciliation, not net business profit.
Test changed costs: an additional seller-funded discount of 100 with other example items unchanged reduces contribution to 235. In practice, discounting may alter the commission base; recalculate using actual statements. Base return budgets on experience rather than undocumented estimates applied to every order.
| Hypothetical item | Amount in lira | Effect on the calculation |
|---|---|---|
| Sales amount used in the example | 1500 | Starting point of the teaching calculation |
| Goods cost | 800 | Deducted from sales |
| Assumed commission, not platform tariff | 225 | Deducted separately |
| Assumed shipping | 70 | Not generalizable across weights or contracts |
| Assumed packaging | 20 | Order-preparation cost |
| Assumed advertising and operating allowance | 50 | Hypothetical amount for this example |
| Contribution before fixed costs and taxes | 335 | 1500 − 800 − 225 − 70 − 20 − 50 |
Connect stock and addresses to shipping services
Define dispatch and return-receipt addresses as they will actually operate. Agree preparation times and who hands parcels to carriers, then configure services available in the account. Measure packed products because boxes and protection alter weight, dimensions and costs.
Do not offer all supplier stock unless reserved for you or confirmable. Saleable stock is what you can fulfill after excluding damaged, reserved and existing-order quantities. Across channels, update stock on reservations, cancellations and returns rather than only parcel departure. Every amendment needs an owner and record.
Start with controlled manual entry for small ranges and adopt integration when needed. The developer portal announced migration of product and order services to V2 on separate schedules: old product (V1) endpoints were supported until September 15, 2026, while the old order endpoint is scheduled to be retired on October 15, 2026. If using a connector, request evidence of current-version support and test synchronization results; successful submission does not establish completed product approval.
Order documentation supports stock and fulfillment monitoring.
Review the listing, then fulfill the first order
After uploading, check actual status and rejection reasons. Trendyol documentation distinguishes successful data transfer from entry into product approval; items under review or rejected are not published merely because the technical request succeeded. Correct the specified field or document, then verify displayed price, stock and variants.
For the first order, read item, quantity, variant, address and deadline in the seller dashboard before preparation. Pick and inspect the product, issue the appropriate business-system invoice and attach the correct label to the correct parcel. Customer payment receipts do not replace sales invoices, and shipments must not be recorded as dispatched before actual handover.
Keep carrier-handover evidence and tracking linked to the order. Monitor subsequent movement and handle problems through official routes with accurate information. Do not promise arrival times unconfirmed by the carrier. Record fulfillment duration to improve stock, timing and packing for later orders.
| Test stage | Required evidence | Action on failure |
|---|---|---|
| Product publication | Published status and correct content | Read rejection reasons and correct the field |
| Order reservation | Matching item, variant and quantity | Prevent resale of reserved quantities |
| Invoicing and packing | Order-linked invoice and sound parcel | Correct data before handover |
| Carrier handover | Receipt evidence and tracking number | Consult the carrier and official route |
| Financial completion | Statement linking orders to proceeds | Open a documented inquiry for differences |

Prepare returns before they occur
Define return reception, photography, inspection and stock-release decision responsibilities. Retain requests, delivery dates, reasons and returned condition. Do not resell returned quantities before checking completeness and condition; a parcel's warehouse arrival is insufficient.
Distinguish consumer withdrawal, defects, wrong items and transit damage. Rights and procedures may vary by reason and product; platform policies do not permit removing legal rights with blanket 'no returns' wording. Use dashboard order procedures without asking customers to move transactions off-platform.
After returns, review effects on proceeds, invoices, shipping expenses and commission under the contract and case. Appeals need order numbers, condition images and relevant documents within the prescribed period. Keep evidence clear and focused, redacting unnecessary customer information when circulating internally.

Monitor settlement and performance before expansion
Link orders and expected amounts to bank receipts. Platform statements may contain sales, returns, fees, discounts and withholding, so bank transfers do not equal total sales. Collect supporting documents for the accountant and ask about tax treatment rather than inferring it from commission names.
Track cancellations, shipping delays, unavailable variants and recurring product questions. Select improvements tied to clear causes: change sizing images, improve stock accuracy or alter box size. Do not increase advertising while products arrive late or return because of inaccurate descriptions.
Good expansion adds ranges you can serve at the same quality, rather than simply many listings. Base replenishment quantities on actual sales speed, supplier lead times and liquidity. If using academy training, choose lessons addressing current problems, apply one change and monitor effects on orders and costs.

FAQs and readiness checklist
Can I sell through a buyer account without a taxable business?
The seller route is separate, and the partnership page requires a business, taxpayer status, stock and operating capacity. A buyer account or purchased goods do not establish selling eligibility.
Does a Turkish company owned by a foreigner guarantee store approval?
No. Incorporation rights do not guarantee platform verification, document acceptance or bank-account approval. Submit accurate owner and representative information and request the checklist for your circumstances. Anyone working in Türkiye separately assesses work permission or role-appropriate exemption.
Does product publication guarantee sales or payouts?
Publication allows display after approval; sales then depend on demand, competition, content and fulfillment. Payouts depend on contracts, order status and settlement statements. Track orders and money in their respective records.
