🧾 Paying a government fee requires the correct service and applicant or assessment details. An account debit matters, but retain the receipt and verify that the payment was recorded against the right transaction.

1️⃣ Identify the fee first

Start with the authority’s notice or official application screen: what fee is due, for whom and under which reference? Services cover residence permits, title deeds, vehicles and Turkish citizens’ documents. They do not all apply to foreign visitors or residents.

GİB provides several payment services, and your bank may support some through its tax and fee menu. Do not choose a Turkish passport or identity-card fee to pay a foreigner’s residence fee. Similar labels do not make the payments interchangeable.

2️⃣ Prepare the information

Applicant identityThe document accepted by that serviceThe exact identification number
Reference or assessment numberOfficial notice or enquiryDo not use another application’s reference
AmountOfficial enquiry resultPeriod and required components

3️⃣ Pay through the bank

🏦 Open the official app and find Vergi / Harç or government payments. Select the matching category, enter the requested details and review the applicant, amount and debit account. Not every bank or channel offers every fee; follow the authority’s accepted methods.

Save the complete receipt, including the date, reference and fee type. A short notification may not provide the detailed evidence or receipt verification needed by the authority.

5️⃣ Timing, errors and duplicate payments

⏱️ A digital channel does not mean every fee can be paid at every hour or that all authorities update immediately. Check availability and the application deadline, and allow any update time stated by the service.

If the connection drops after confirmation, check the debit and receipt before paying again. For a wrong category or number, ask the bank and authority about correction or refund. Do not send an ordinary transfer to an account supplied by an intermediary to fix it.

6️⃣ Payment does not approve the application

📄 Paying a fee does not guarantee a permit, licence or successful application. Documents, appointments and the authority’s conditions remain separate. Keep the receipt with the application and submit it through the required process.

If someone pays on your behalf, the applicant details and reference must still be correct. Obtain the full receipt rather than a message saying paid or a screenshot of the payer’s account debit.
