🚐 Migration Advisory Vehicles in Türkiye
Fingerprints, address registration and student services near universities

Türkiye's Presidency of Migration Management launched Migration Advisory Vehicles (Göç Danışma Araçları) on 14 August 2026. A further presentation took place in Ankara in September. The service brings selected procedures closer to foreigners and international students, particularly at universities. Its availability at one university does not mean every migration procedure is available without an appointment at every campus.

1️⃣ 📍 Where did the service start?

The announced first phase comprises 42 vehicles at universities in ten provinces: İstanbul, Ankara, İzmir, Sakarya, Eskişehir, Antalya, Bursa, Konya, Karabük and Kütahya. This does not establish a vehicle at every campus in those provinces. Reaching 75 vehicles in 40 provinces by year end is a stated expansion target, not evidence that the target has already been achieved at your university. Confirm the actual arrangements with your university or provincial migration directorate.

2️⃣ 🧭 Which services are involved?

The announced services include address registration, fingerprint collection, information, advice and guidance. Identify the exact procedure you need rather than simply asking to “get a residence permit”. Fingerprinting, registering an address and submitting a residence application are different steps. A convenient service location does not replace the conditions for assessing your application.

ProcedureWhat to confirm first
Fingerprint collectionWhether the location offers it and whether your file needs an appointment or coordination.
Address registrationThe documents required for your circumstances and actual address.
Residence file guidanceThe procedure, application stage and file reference, if available.
Online residence applicationYour required e-İkamet step and the university's file-submission instructions.

3️⃣ 🎓 A practical route for students

Start with your university's international student office or unit handling residence files. Ask whether a vehicle is present, its location, service days, accepted procedures and the way to access it. Instructions issued for a different university may not apply to your campus or file.

Prepare specific questions: “I submitted my residence application; where should I give fingerprints?” or “I was asked to register my address; which document applies to my situation?” These are examples of clear enquiries, not a universal document checklist. Follow the competent office's actual instructions. Keep your application reference and relevant paperwork organised so you can explain your current stage accurately.

4️⃣ 💻 Where does e-İkamet fit?

First, extension and transfer residence applications use the official e-İkamet system. An advisory vehicle does not remove that application route, and completion of fingerprints or address registration is not automatic approval. Complete the requested step and retain any relevant submission or transaction evidence.

For another migration service, confirm which appointment system applies. Göç Randevu has functions distinct from creating a residence application in e-İkamet. Do not book an unrelated procedure simply because its appointment is earlier. Ask the university or YİMER to identify the correct route when it is unclear.

5️⃣ ♿ Assistance where access is difficult

The announcement also describes the possibility of carrying out certain procedures where foreigners are located when necessary, including elderly people, people with disabilities and those with severe illnesses who have difficulty reaching service points. This depends on assessment and official coordination. It is not an automatic right to summon a vehicle to a home without prior arrangements.

Explain the access difficulty and procedure needed to the migration directorate or official enquiry channel. Ask how to request the arrangement and which evidence is required. Do not send identity or medical documents to unverified accounts advertising vehicle bookings.

6️⃣ ☎️ Enquiries and follow-up

The vehicles work in coordination with YİMER 157, especially for international students. The August announcement distinguishes information enquiries, available on weekdays 08:00–18:00 Türkiye time, from the emergency and reporting line, available 24/7. Call 157 inside Türkiye or +90 312 157 11 22 from abroad.

Keep notes of the office consulted, enquiry date and next action. Your notes help organise the process but do not replace an official decision or notification. Confirm any additional deadline from the actual instructions or document received.

7️⃣ ❓ Frequently asked questions

Is the service available in every province?
The initial announcement specifies ten provinces and 42 vehicles. Expansion to 40 provinces is a target. Check actual availability at your campus or city.

Can I skip the online residence application?
No. Follow e-İkamet and your file instructions. Selected vehicle services do not remove the application or assessment conditions.

Are these the same as mobile inspection points?
This announcement concerns advisory vehicles providing services for foreigners and students. Part of the mobile fleet was adapted for this role, while other vehicles continue their separate irregular-migration duties. Keep those functions distinct.
