The Istanbul State Symphony Orchestra, İDSO, presents two different evenings in the opera hall of Atatürk Cultural Centre, AKM, in Taksim: the Türkiye–Poland Friendship Concert on 23 October and Benim Adım Cumhuriyet: Cumhuriyet’in Kalbine Yolculuk on 30 October 2026. Both begin at 20:00 Türkiye time, but each has its own programme and ticket; buying one does not include the other. The category prices below were displayed when checked on 20 October and may change before purchase.

1️⃣ Dates and hall at a glance
DateProgrammeVenue and start
Friday 23 October 2026Türkiye–Poland Friendship Concert, in honour of Tadeusz StrugałaAKM Türk Telekom Opera Salonu; 20:00
Friday 30 October 2026Benim Adım Cumhuriyet – Cumhuriyet’in Kalbine YolculukThe same hall; 20:00
The hall is specifically Türk Telekom Opera Salonu. “AKM” alone is insufficient to identify the correct performance or entrance at a complex with several halls. Check the date, hall and seat number on your ticket. The published physical capacity of 2,040 describes the building; it does not mean that many seats are on sale or still available.

2️⃣ What is performed on 23 October?
The Türkiye–Poland Friendship Concert is organised in cooperation with the Polish Consulate General in Istanbul, in honour of conductor Tadeusz Strugała. Marzena Diakun conducts, with Szymon Nehring as piano soloist.
The programme opens with Frédéric Chopin’s Piano Concerto No. 1 in E minor, followed by an expressly listed interval and Edward Elgar’s Enigma Variations, Op. 36. This is the published sequence; an exact finish time has not been established for planning a tightly timed connection afterwards. Use the 23 October ticket page to check categories and seats actually available when purchasing.

3️⃣ 30 October: music, narration and choir

Benim Adım Cumhuriyet combines music with narration, singing and staged performance. Kıvanç Tepe conducts, with Sirene Filarmoni Korosu under choir conductor Volkan Akkoç. The programme credits Muammer Sun, Turgay Erdener and Kıvanç Tepe for the music.
Ayşe Ceylan contributes text and narration, and Volkan Severcan narration. Sezen Alanbay and Saliha Salcan are the sopranos; Hasan Çelik is the baritone and Ulaş Kocatürk the tenor portraying Mehmetçik. Yunus Emre Öğüt portrays Atatürk and Murat Çamlıtepe Hasan Tahsin, with dancers Çağaç Arın Öztornacı and Hakan Aydemir.
These details distinguish a musical and narrated production from the previous week’s concerto evening. Arabic or English translation or surtitles have not been verified; neither an exact finish time nor an interval is confirmed for this production in the available evidence. Its 30 October ticket page is separate from the 23 October booking.

4️⃣ Five price categories for both concerts
CategoryFull price per personStudent per person
1TRY 745TRY 372.50
2TRY 600TRY 300
3TRY 520TRY 260
4TRY 375TRY 187.50
5TRY 300TRY 150
The table was read separately for each concert and covers one person at one performance, not a two-concert package. The platform’s starting-price heading shows TRY 150.01, while category 5 in the student table shows TRY 150.00. The one-kuruş difference is unexplained; it is not automatically labelled a tax or commission.
For budgeting, two full-price category-5 tickets total TRY 600 according to the table, or TRY 1,490 in category 1, before any unverified final addition, transport or parking. General payment terms allow service charges to be included or added according to the transaction. Neither a final checkout total nor a specific service fee was verified. Whether VAT is included in each item was also not established. Check the total and terms before confirming.

5️⃣ Student tickets and age
The published admission threshold is age 7 and above, and every attendee needs a ticket. A student price does not admit a younger child, and an accompanying guardian does not waive the age condition.
Published AKM rules require valid student identification on the concert day and direct student-ticket purchases to the venue box office. An online student-price table does not establish that everyone can complete that purchase online. Check with the box office before relying on the reduction, especially with documentation from an overseas institution: acceptance of foreign student identification was not resolved by the pages read. No general entitlement to another reduction or a free companion is established here.

6️⃣ Purchase, delivery and refunds
Start with the correct date’s link, then review the category, seat, name and hall, and read the final total before paying. This guide does not show current seat inventory or guarantee the cheapest category remains available. Biletinial’s FAQ says ordinary reservations before purchase are unavailable; selecting a price is not a secured ticket.
Electronic tickets are delivered with a QR code by email or SMS under platform instructions. Keep the ticket somewhere easily accessible at the entrance and check its details as soon as it arrives.
AKM’s specific conditions describe cancellation for eligible, unprinted online tickets at least 48 hours before the event: through Biletlerim for registered users, or the stated support channel for non-members. This depends on the ticket type, status and request time, rather than promising every purchase is refundable. Read the conditions shown for your ticket. Acceptance of a late request or refund of a particular service fee has not been established.

7️⃣ Arrival, lateness and hall etiquette
The concert rules request arrival with your ticket at least one hour before the start: plan around 19:00 for a 20:00 performance. Published conditions prohibit audience admission after the performance begins, so do not treat the interval as a guaranteed backup plan for arriving late. Use your assigned seat and do not move seats during the performance.
Recording on a camera or phone is prohibited, and recording equipment is restricted. Food, drink, smoking and electronic cigarettes are limited to designated areas. Follow staff instructions, especially if you must leave; re-entry during a performance is not at the visitor’s discretion.

8️⃣ Address, parking and access needs
The official address is Gümüşsuyu Mahallesi, Mete Caddesi No: 2, Beyoğlu, İstanbul. AKM’s contact and map page gives the parking entrance at Miralay Şefik Bey Sokak No: 19. Parking is paid and open around the clock, but a concert parking tariff was not verified, and holding a ticket does not guarantee a vehicle space.
For a wheelchair route, suitable position or hearing support, contact AKM on +90 212 372 50 00 before purchasing; the orchestra office is +90 212 372 52 40 for programme matters. An older official statement describes accessibility provision in the building, but does not establish a particular space or a free companion for these concerts. Obtain confirmation for your chosen date and needs.

9️⃣ Before leaving home
Check that the date and hall remain unchanged and that your ticket is for the correct 23 or 30 October performance. Prepare the ticket and student identification where applicable, and budget separately for early arrival, travel and parking. If travelling specifically for the concert, allow flexibility afterwards because the finish time is unconfirmed. Prices, programmes and admission details reflect information published when checked on 20 October 2026; an announcement does not establish that a concert has taken place or that booking remains available now.
