Electronic Prescriptions and Medical Reports in Türkiye 2026: e-Reçete and e-Rapor
Türkiye uses electronic prescriptions, e-Reçete, and electronic medical reports, e-Rapor. A prescription authorises specified treatment; a medical report documents a medical finding or supports a particular administrative or reimbursement process. They serve different purposes.
For a pharmacy visit, keep your identity details and prescription code or QR code ready. Whether insurance pays depends on active entitlement, the medicine, the prescription and any required report.
What an electronic prescription contains
After the required examination, the doctor records the prescribed medicines. The record may show the issuing doctor and institution, date, medicine names, dosage instructions, frequency, quantity or number of packs, and other notes.Read the instructions and ask the doctor or pharmacist about anything unclear. An electronic record does not remove the need for individual medical advice.
Obtaining medicine with an e-Reçete
- Keep the prescription code supplied by the doctor or in a message, where provided.
- Alternatively, find the prescription in e-Nabız under Reçetelerim and use the available details or QR code.
- Take your identity document and foreign identity number, if issued, to a pharmacy; use an SGK-contracted pharmacy if seeking SGK reimbursement.
- The pharmacist checks the prescription, the required report and entitlement where relevant.
- Ask about the total payable, including co-payments, non-covered items and any medicine price difference.
- Keep the code until the prescribed supply has been dealt with, together with your receipt and instructions.
Prescription details in e-Nabız
Open Reçetelerim, then İlaç Reçetelerim where shown. The available record can include the medicines, instructions, frequency, quantity and dispensing information. Depending on the service, you may also access medicine information or leaflets and reminders. These functions help you follow prescribed treatment. Do not change the dose or schedule yourself because of an app display or a reminder setting.
The e-Government SGK medicine electronic prescription and prescription information service is another route to relevant SGK records. Child records require the appropriate linked relationship and authorisation.
| Document | Purpose | Financial check |
|---|---|---|
| e-Reçete | Electronic prescription and dispensing reference | Payment follows entitlement and medicine rules |
| e-Rapor | Electronic report for a specified purpose | The report alone does not guarantee all cover |
| Chronic-medicine report | Condition- and time-specific entitlement | Check validity, prescription and quantity |
| Epikriz | Admission and discharge treatment summary | Useful for follow-up; not a substitute for every report |

Languages for foreign patients
The Ministry of Health announced English, German, Arabic, French and Russian support in e-Reçetem for foreign patients. This can assist understanding, but does not mean that every foreign prescription is automatically accepted in Türkiye or that a Turkish prescription is automatically recognised abroad.See the official announcement about the five languages.
Prescriptions issued abroad
Bring the original prescription and medical report, with a translation where needed. The pharmacist or clinician may need to assess the medicine and arrange a prescription accepted under Turkish rules. A foreign prescription is not automatically an electronic prescription in Türkiye and does not itself establish insurance reimbursement.Controlled medicines have additional requirements. Allow time for a local medical assessment instead of waiting until your supply is exhausted.
What is an e-Rapor?
An electronic report may concern long-term medicine use, medical supplies or devices, sick leave, a single-physician or medical-board assessment, driving, sport, disability or a birth-related record. The type, issuing service and administrative use differ. The Ministry of Health e-Rapor system supports electronic reporting; it is not a single public screen containing every possible report.
A medicine-use report is not a prescription
A report may document a condition and the period or conditions under which a medicine can be reimbursed. It does not necessarily let you obtain any quantity at any time. A valid prescription, active entitlement and the applicable supply or renewal rules may still be required.| Before leaving | What to obtain |
|---|---|
| Prescription | Reference, generic names and instructions |
| Report | Type, date, validity and clinician details |
| Identity linkage | Correct name and foreign ID or passport |
| Usable copy | Printed or electronic records for care abroad |

Where to view reports
- e-Nabız, under Raporlarım, for reports received by that system.
- Ministry of Health: electronically signed medicine-use reports.
- SGK: medicine report information.
- The relevant 4A, 4B or 4C İlaç Kullanım Süresi Sorgulama service, where applicable, for recorded medicine-use periods.
Do you need a printed copy?
Many electronic reports can be verified digitally, but the receiving organisation may require a particular report type, a printout or another format. Before paying for a report, ask for its exact Turkish name, whether a single physician or a board must issue it, whether an electronic report is accepted and how long it must remain valid.
If a prescription or report is missing
Possible reasons include pending approval, a transmission delay, use of a different identity record such as a passport rather than the foreign identity number, cancellation, the wrong enquiry service or an institutional error.Ask the issuing institution for the prescription or report number and whether it has been finalised and sent. The issuing clinician or institution must correct the underlying medical record; the patient cannot edit a clinical report in e-Nabız.

Protect your information
Do not post your identity number, prescription code, report, QR code or login details in public groups. Share relevant information only with the doctor, pharmacist or organisation that needs it for the stated purpose.Check the medicine, strength and instructions before leaving the pharmacy, keep a PDF or printout where useful, and obtain medicines through licensed pharmacies rather than informal sellers.
