The opening six rounds of the Turkish Süper Lig produced an intriguing table: Amedspor led, Galatasaray were level on points, and only three points separated first place from ninth.
Round 6 added further drama. Fenerbahçe scored eight, Trabzonspor put four past Galatasaray, and Amedspor went top by beating Beşiktaş. The opening weeks provided several stories to follow, from the title race and the scoring charts to the search for a first win.
This review covers the complete standings, notable figures and all the latest round’s results, before looking ahead to the fixtures following the international break.

“Goals for” means goals scored; “goals against” means goals conceded. The order matches the official table at the time this review was compiled.
A 3–2 victory over Beşiktaş took Amedspor to 13 points, ahead of Galatasaray on goal difference. It gave Diyarbakır’s representative a prominent position in the early race.
The coming rounds would test their consistency: how would the team respond to closer attention from opponents? Could they maintain their balance away from home or against a side defending with little space between the lines?
The strong start provided points and confidence. Turning it into a successful season would require results against a range of opponents and in changing circumstances.

| Amedspor | 3–2 | Beşiktaş |
| Göztepe | 2–2 | Çaykur Rizespor |
The 8–0 win over Eyüpspor was the round’s largest winning margin. According to Anadolu Agency’s match report, it was also Fenerbahçe’s biggest victory by goal margin in their Süper Lig history.
Half of the team’s 16 league goals came in that single match. It would therefore be useful to follow whether they could spread that attacking output across the games ahead, particularly against opponents offering fewer openings.
A big win builds confidence, but the response in the next match also matters: maintaining concentration, avoiding rushed decisions and taking chances when the score is close.

Trabzonspor beat Galatasaray 4–0 on 19 September. The result influenced the race at the top, with the round’s outcomes allowing Amedspor to move into first place.
For Trabzonspor, it offered a benchmark to reproduce. For Galatasaray, the return after the international break took on particular importance: responding to a heavy defeat involves the team’s organisation, confidence and decisions on the pitch.
The score alone does not explain the tactical causes. Assessing positioning, transitions and chances requires match footage and detailed data; the record here establishes the result and its effect on the table.

Kocaelispor and the value of defending:
They had conceded only four goals, the fewest in the table. That illustrated how defensive discipline can support a points total even when a team scores fewer goals than its rivals.
Kasımpaşa unbeaten:
Two wins and four draws showed that avoiding defeat alone does not guarantee first place. Turning evenly matched games into victories can make the difference.
Göztepe’s search for a first win:
They had scored 11 goals but had not won in six rounds. Their attacking output had yet to translate into a comfortable points total, making their progress worth following.
Eyüpspor under early pressure:
Two goals scored and 16 conceded pointed to a clear need for improvement at both ends. Even so, this was an assessment of the season’s opening weeks, not a verdict on their eventual fate.
The following was the announced schedule when the review was compiled, in Türkiye time. Check the official page before attending or arranging travel. These dates formed the original preview and are not all still upcoming.

The programme presented different tests: the leaders away from home; Galatasaray facing an unbeaten side; Beşiktaş meeting Kocaelispor with both on the same points; and Eyüpspor playing Göztepe at the bottom of the table.
Those fixtures would help show whether Round 6 signalled sustained improvement for some teams or an exceptional result that still needed to be backed up.
