2026-TR-YÖS/2 took place on 11 October 2026. Later that day, Türkiye's assessment and examination authority, ÖSYM, released part of the question booklet and answer key. The next stage is different from preparing for the exam: establish exactly what has been published, wait for your official result, and identify universities and programmes that can consider your application and score.
Completing paperwork for study
What has ÖSYM published?
The announcement dated 11 October provides 10% of the basic question booklet and answer key. You can access the file through ÖSYM's official TR-YÖS/2 booklet announcement. An answer to a published question lets you review that question; it does not make this small selection a reliable estimate of your overall result.
- The full exam label: 2026-TR-YÖS/2, rather than another sitting or a university's own examination.
- The file's scope: the publicly released selection is 10%. A purported complete paper is not an official release simply because people are sharing it.
- The publisher: start from ÖSYM's announcement instead of an unknown message or a link asking for your account details.
Dates and the status of each stage
| Stage | Date or status | What it means for you |
|---|---|---|
| TR-YÖS/2 examination | 11 October 2026 | This sitting has taken place |
| Partial question and answer release | 11 October 2026; a 10% selection | Review of the published material, rather than a candidate result |
| Result announcement | 5 November 2026 in ÖSYM's published calendar | A scheduled date; monitor official announcements for changes |
| University applications | According to each university and programme's announcement | The exam result date does not establish an application window |
| TR-YÖS validity | Two years from the exam date under this sitting's guide | Also check the university's rules for accepting the result |
Use ÖSYM's examination calendar and the official results service. Select the correct examination: a result for another exam appearing on the service does not mean that TR-YÖS/2 results are available.
What to do when your result is released
Open the results service at its official address and sign in with your identity number, foreigner number or TR-YÖS number and password, as applicable to your account. Save your result document, then check your name, candidate number, examination label and score before sending it to a university.
- Keep the original document in your study folder, with a backup you can access.
- Give the file a clear name identifying the sitting and year. Keep an earlier result document instead of overwriting it.
- Record the document's release date and the exam date separately. The validity period runs from the examination date.
- If there is a problem with your details or result, promptly consult ÖSYM's procedures for this sitting. Do not assume that a complaint to a university will correct the examination record.
Organising documents and an online application
An exam result and a university offer are different stages
ÖSYM administers the examination and publishes the result. University applications, enrolment, scholarships, accommodation and residence permits are separate processes. Asking whether your score is good is only a starting point. The practical questions are whether you meet this programme's eligibility rules, whether it is accepting applications, and what it requires alongside your score.
| What to check in the university announcement | Question to ask | Record to retain |
|---|---|---|
| Applicant eligibility | Does my citizenship category and educational background qualify for international admission? | Official admission requirements |
| Accepted examination results | Is this sitting accepted, and is there a minimum score? | The accepted tests and criteria table |
| Application window | Is there an open window or an announced later round? | The calendar and application receipt |
| Teaching language | Which language evidence is accepted, and is preparation required? | The programme's language requirements |
| Fees and enrolment | When is payment due, and what happens if enrolment is not completed? | A written offer and payment policy |
| Educational documents | What are the requirements for the diploma, transcript, translations and equivalency? | The document checklist and university response |
Useful work while waiting for the result
Build a manageable shortlist of programmes you actually want to study. For each one, record the city, teaching language, required documents, written costs and application deadline. Mark information the university has not confirmed. A blank field is more useful than a deadline copied from a previous year.
Documents: Prepare your diploma, transcript and identification. Check that your name is consistent across the documents before arranging translations or uploading them.
Language: Read the requirements for your particular programme. The language of your TR-YÖS booklet does not automatically waive proof of the teaching language.
Budget: Separate tuition from accommodation, living expenses, insurance and document costs. Keep the estimate provisional until you obtain the relevant written offer.
Correspondence: Ask a specific question naming the exam sitting, programme and intended admission year. Keep the written reply with your application records.

Quick questions
The 11 October announcement concerns 10% of the questions and answer key. Results are a separate stage, scheduled for 5 November 2026 in the calendar.
Use your review to understand your performance, then wait for the official score document to submit to universities. A post-exam estimate cannot replace it.
The 2026 TR-YÖS/2 guide specifies two years from the examination date. Also read the acceptance conditions at your chosen university.
Prepare a separate application for each process. The score alone is not a scholarship, enrolment or residence decision.
