Table Tennis in Türkiye 2026–2027: Club Leagues, Age Groups, Entries and Results
Turkish table tennis combines club leagues with individual and team age-group competitions. These routes have different entry lists and eligibility rules; even within an age group, team and individual birth-year limits can differ. This guide covers the 2026–2027 structure, entries, results and costs, checked on 28 October 2026.

Choose a club or individual competition route
TMTF runs men’s and women’s Süper Lig and first, second and third divisions. League teams enter through their clubs; an individual account or practice-table booking does not secure a league place. Ask a coach about team standard, roster and playing opportunities.
Regional and national age-group competitions have separate regulations, alongside ranking and national-team pathways. Individual and team entries are distinct, as are player rankings and club standings. Beginners should seek a trial session and level assessment before committing to competition travel.
| 2026–2027 Süper Lig | Current listed field | How to use the page |
|---|---|---|
| Men | 16 teams, including Fenerbahçe, Beşiktaş and Darüşşafaka | Match the team name with its stage schedule and results |
| Women | 18 teams, including Fenerbahçe, Trabzonspor and TİGEM | Use the separate women’s table; do not import the men’s standings |
Both Süper Lig pages show Ankara on 7–8 November 2026 and İstanbul on 19–20 December. Confirm hall, session and revisions before travelling. These cards do not establish spectator admission or ticket availability, and pre-season tables of zeros do not rank team strength.
Check birth dates rather than a category nickname
The regional age-group regulation sometimes sets different team and individual birth-year boundaries. Check the actual birth date and regulation rather than approximate age or last season’s category.
| Regulation category | Team eligibility | Individual eligibility |
|---|---|---|
| Minikler | Born on or after 1 January 2016 | Born on or after 1 January 2016 |
| Küçükler | Born on or after 1 January 2014 | Born on or after 1 January 2014 |
| Yıldızlar | Born on or after 1 January 2012 | Born in 2012–2015 |
| Gençler | Born on or after 1 January 2008 | Born in 2008–2013 |
These limits belong to this regulation, not every event. The technical committee also uses previous-season lists to select eight players per relevant category for a direct national individual route. Check the approved selection rather than assume everyone starts regionally or a ranking alone guarantees selection.
The listed regional stages ran between September and 18 October 2026 and have finished. Their forms are not open registration; check the next event or national-stage notice and qualification route.
Prepare an entry that the organiser can accept
Start with a club or coach and an appropriate event. Confirm season-validated licensing, identification and the health document required by the current system and sport classification. For minors, arrange parental permission, supervision and travel. Training permission is not tournament entry.
The regional regulation requires the coach’s entry file and a provincial youth and sports directorate-approved participation letter. Submit by the precise event deadline: the regulation requires at least five days beforehand, publishing lists four days and the draw three days beforehand.
A club may enter at most two boys’ and two girls’ teams, A and B. Check names, categories, team and validation before closing, then inspect the published list and report errors. Later player movement between A and B is restricted; changing players used in the groups at the national stage can cause a forfeit.
Separate team rubbers from games within a match
Minikler, Küçükler and Yıldızlar team ties use a five-rubber Corbillon sequence: two singles, a doubles and two singles. Gençler uses the new Swaythling format of five singles rubbers. This describes the team tie, rather than declaring that every individual match always consists of five games.
A game is won at 11 points with a two-point margin; at 10–10, play continues until that margin exists. Service changes every two points, then every point after that deuce. A match consists of an odd number of games, with the required winning format set by the competition regulations.
Service starts from an open palm, with a near-vertical toss of at least 16 cm and the ball kept visible. It must bounce first on the server’s side and then the receiver’s; doubles service travels from right half to right half. Learn the sequence with a coach and umpire. Para table tennis has specific provisions, so a single blanket doubles instruction does not cover every player.
Technical meetings, results and rankings
The regional technical meeting is at 18:00 the day before competition. It addresses lists, organisation and the draw, without replacing timely submission. Prepare identification, licensing, club clothing and equipment, following officials’ instructions on racket checks, practice and reporting.
Distinguish points within a game, games deciding a match and matches deciding a team tie. A 3–1 team result does not reveal each player’s game scores. In singles, check group stage, knockout round or final classification before describing a win as a title.
National rankings and international selection have separate conditions. Keep the approved result with event, category and date. A local win does not automatically secure national-team selection, international entry or eligibility to represent Türkiye.
Budget for participation and withdrawal obligations
Separate licensing and validation from membership, coaching, team entry, transport and accommodation. No single current coaching, spectator or general individual-entry price is established here. Request a written quote stating service, period and missed-session terms.
The regional regulation does not provide federation payments to participants. Provincial support depends on the directorate’s budget, so do not book travel on the assumption of reimbursement. If a qualified team cannot attend the Turkish championship or cup, written notification is required at least five days beforehand. The regulation specifies a TRY 15,000 club penalty for failure to notify; this is not a child’s entry fee.
The announcement for this season’s league club documentation and payments set 24 July 2026 as its deadline, which has passed. An “applications open” label on a generic card is insufficient evidence of a new window or individual registration. Obtain confirmation through the club official and federation.
A practical start for children, adults and visitors
Before joining, watch a session and ask about group level, players per table, playing time, coaching and equipment. Explain whether the aim is recreation, learning or competition; an advanced group may offer a beginner little instruction.
Foreign players should confirm identity documents, licence type, transfers and event restrictions rather than assume residence or an overseas licence is sufficient. Spectators should check session, hall, admission and seating, avoiding interference with play.
Plan the first tournament with the coach: eligible category, accepted entry, clear budget, early arrival and a review afterward. This creates a repeatable development route beyond buying a racket or travelling after registration closes.
Frequently asked questions
Can I enter the Süper Lig as an individual?
It is a club competition requiring the club route, roster and season conditions. Separate individual competitions have their own entries.
Are team and individual birth-year limits identical?
Not always. Yıldızlar and Gençler have different boundaries in the regional regulation, as the table shows.
Do five team rubbers always mean five games per match?
No. The team tie and the games deciding each match are separate layers. Check the event format.
Does the federation pay every player’s travel?
The regional regulation does not provide this. Provincial help depends on its budget and is not an automatic entitlement.
Is TRY 15,000 the participation price?
No. It is a club penalty for failing to give timely notice that a qualified team will not attend the national championship or cup.
