Some hotels and resorts in Türkiye cater specifically for families seeking a conservative atmosphere, using descriptions such as “Halal Hotel”, “Islamic Hotel” or “Family Resort”.

These labels do not all promise the same experience. Check the actual arrangements before deciding that a property matches your expectations.

1️⃣ What does a “halal” hotel or resort mean? 🕌​

Depending on the property, the description may refer to one or more of the following:
  • No alcoholic drinks being served.
  • Separate swimming pools or beach areas for men and women, or dedicated family areas.
  • Consideration for the call to prayer and prayer times, alongside a generally conservative atmosphere.
Ask what the label covers, including food standards, rather than assuming it guarantees every feature on this list.
