Çukurova Airport terminal, bridges and control tower; airport operator photograph.
1.
Start with the airport's actual location
Çukurova International Airport (Çukurova Uluslararası Havalimanı) is in Tarsus, Mersin province, serving Adana, Mersin and the surrounding region. When arranging collection, send the airport name shown on your ticket and your flight details, followed by your full accommodation address. A city name alone is insufficient to establish the transfer cost or drop-off point.
| Destination | Reference distance published by DHMİ |
|---|---|
| Central Adana | 24 km. |
| Tarsus | 27 km. |
| Central Mersin | 55 km. |
These are airport-authority reference figures, rather than guaranteed driving times or precise distances to every hotel. Your accommodation may be in an outlying district or along a lengthy coastal stretch. Check its position and actual approach before choosing transport.
2.
HAVAMAŞ buses: choose the service and stop
The airport administration directs passengers to HAVAMAŞ and lists connections with Adana, Mersin, Osmaniye, Hatay, Niğde and Ereğli. Select your city, travel date, departure and arrival points at havamas.com, or ask on 444 33 26. A city appearing on a general information page does not guarantee a suitable service every day or hour.
Before paying, confirm the exact drop-off stop, the onward journey to your hotel, and luggage, amendment and cancellation conditions. If your flight is delayed, contact the operator to confirm the new arrangement; do not assume every bus waits for all arriving flights.

3.
Comparing transfer options
| Option | When it may suit you | What to confirm |
|---|---|---|
| HAVAMAŞ bus | Its departure and stop fit your arrival plans. | The stop, available departure, luggage and final journey to accommodation. |
| Taxi or pre-booked transfer | You need a direct journey or are travelling as a group. | Address, price or charging method, passenger/luggage capacity and delay arrangements. |
| Private or hired car | Your trip includes several scattered destinations. | Collection point, driver and insurance conditions, parking and vehicle return. |
Compare the total group cost, including travel from a bus stop to your accommodation, rather than only the first advertised fare. If you need particular equipment, a child seat or mobility assistance, obtain confirmation before booking.
4.
After landing: completing the transfer
After collecting your luggage, keep the accommodation address and booking details ready, then confirm the meeting place or transport stop. With a driver, establish who monitors flight delays and how you will contact each other if your terminal exit time changes. Before setting off, check the precise hotel or station, especially where a business name is used at more than one location.
If continuing straight to the coast or another area, calculate the full road journey. Reaching Mersin does not mean reaching Erdemli or Silifke, and arriving in Adana does not complete an onward trip to Osmaniye or Hatay.
5.
Plan the return journey separately
HAVAMAŞ recommends reaching the airport at least two hours before domestic flights and three hours before international flights. Add road travel, possible traffic and waiting time to that allowance, and follow your airline's requirements for the particular flight.
Work backwards from the time you need to reach the airport, then check your booking the day before. For an early departure, confirm that a service operates at the required time or arrange suitable transport in advance. Include any hired-car return in your calculation.

6.
Keep the first day realistic
For an Adana stay, keep the first outing near your accommodation or the Seyhan River. In Mersin, a short local outing and waterfront walk may suffice if time permits. Tarsus deserves its own historic-city itinerary; avoid squeezing its archaeology and waterfall into a brief gap between a flight and another commitment.
The city guides below can help you choose a base and subsequent excursions, while the transfer's departure, fare and stop depend on your actual booking.
