📍 At Abide-i Hürriyet Caddesi No. 142, Marriott advertises proximity to shopping and the Şişli/Mecidiyeköy metro and Metrobus stations. It offers an indoor pool, spa, round-the-clock fitness centre and restaurants, with executive lounge access for eligible booking categories and memberships.

✅ Serves travellers combining shopping and daily public-transport journeys with hotel facilities on their return. ⚠️ Lounge access is not automatic for every room, and internet and breakfast terms vary with the offer. Compare final prices with equivalent services. Request a separate private-transfer quotation: the hotel distinguishes transfers reserved in advance from a shuttle, which it does not provide.

6️⃣ 🚉 Making use of public transport​

📍 Şişli–Mecidiyeköy station is on the M2, serving Taksim and Şişhane, with M7 and Metrobus connections in the area. This is useful, but reaching Sultanahmet still requires planning changes and walking. “City centre” does not mean immediately beside every sight.

⚠️ Advisory dated 13 October 2026: the operator announced split M7 service during repair work: Yıldız–Mecidiyeköy, and Çağlayan–Mahmutbey with a transfer at Nurtepe. Do not assume a through journey; check the official service status before travelling and allow for changes. The M2 route described here is separate from this M7 advisory.

✅ If using the metro regularly, compare each hotel's actual route to the station first. For a family, assess space, beds and connecting arrangements before views. With a car, check parking location, charges and ease of access. Request a room suitable for sleeping away from event areas, then choose clear terms for breakfast, cancellation and the total cost.
