Trabzonspor reached the Conference League league phase after losing their Europa League play-off against Ferencváros. They lost 1–0 at home and 4–0 away, a 5–0 aggregate defeat, then transferred directly into the Conference League league phase under the competition’s rules.
Başakşehir were eliminated in the second qualifying round by Finland’s Inter Turku. A 1–1 draw in Istanbul on 22 July was followed by a 2–0 defeat in Finland on 30 July, ending their campaign with a 3–1 aggregate loss.
Trabzonspor’s opening match is scheduled for 15 October. The results above therefore concern qualifying; the club had no Conference League league-phase results at the time of writing.

The team play three matches at home and three away, ending the league phase with a trip to Serbia to face Red Star Belgrade.
Dates may change following decisions by the organisers. Consult UEFA’s fixture list for kick-off times and subsequent updates.
The league phase brings together 36 clubs in a single table. Each team play six matches against six different opponents: three at home and three away.
- Places 1–8: Qualify directly for the round of 16.
- Places 9–24: Enter two-legged knockout phase play-offs, with the winners advancing to the round of 16.
- Places 25–36: Are eliminated from European competition.
The standings cover all participating teams, rather than separate small groups. Other clubs’ results and goal difference therefore remain important when assessing qualification prospects.
Their Europa League play-off ended without a goal scored and with five conceded. Improving chance creation and defensive organisation are therefore two prominent tasks before the opening match.
Consecutive home fixtures against Hearts and Freiburg offer an opportunity to collect early points. Away from home, their ability to retain possession and avoid defensive mistakes will be worth watching.
This is an assessment of the schedule and preceding results. Any judgement of Trabzonspor’s Conference League performances must follow the matches themselves.
